Sportpesa mega Jackpot post match analysis:week 29

SPORTPESA MEGAJACKPOT, POST-MATCH ANALYSIS – THE BREAKDOWN.

Welcome to yet another Sportpesa Megajackpot Post-Match Analysis. Let us kick off by apologizing to all our clients as we ended up with an all-time low of 8/17 score. There were close calls, stunning comebacks and red cards that threw some of the games off not to mention simply shocking results. With that in mind, below is the breakdown of the results as well as an in depth look of our research methodology in the hopes that with each loss we all gain a lesson that could potentially set us on our way back to the Sportpesa Megajackpot Bonus promise land once again in the coming week.

Pribram V Teplice

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 1-1

We kick things of at the Energon Arena where Pribram were set to host their season match opener against Teplice in the Czech Liga 2018/2019. We had gone for a home win on this one but the shared spoils meant our prediction was inaccurate.

We had backed the home side based on the fact that having played 30 matches finished last season, they finished in position 2 with 58 points compared to their opponents who only managed to finish in position 9 with just 34 points in the previous season. We also factored in their respective preseason friendlies in which Pribram had the edge as they faced superior opponents such as Werder Bremen and managed to hold the German giants to a respectable draw. The away side had the edge in terms if head to head records but home advantage is what tipped the scale and we went for a home win.

It was all going to plan as Roman Kvet drew first blood for the hosts in the 16th minute. The home crowd was fully behind them as they pressed for the much needed 2nd goal that would give them some breathing space. They proved wasteful when presented with goal-scoring opportunities and they were duly punished when the visitors nicked their equalizer right after the start of the 2nd half via Patrik Zitny. Both teams could have won it but some exemplary goalkeeping by the away side and last ditch tackles ensured that the spoils were shared.

FC Zlin V Mlada Boleslav

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 3-2

We had backed the away side to win this one despite the fact that the struggle for the 1st league win was on FC Zlin’s agenda as they hosted Mlada at the Stadion Letná in the Czech Liga. We based our decision on the fact that despite both teams not losing in their respective preseason friendlies, Mlada had the better stats when it came to head to head records.

Both teams had met 24 times prior to this Czech Republic Liga season opener resulting in 4 draws, 9 FC Zlin wins and 11 wins by Mlada. The visitors came into this clash unbeaten in their most recent five matches. However, most of those matches were pre -season build ups.

Our prediction seemed to have been heading in the right direction as the visitors raced into a 2 goal lead. Marek scored the opener as early as the 7th minute for the visitors and Nikolay Komlichenko seemed to have secured the 3 vital points when he scored the 2nd in the 64th minute.

However, as has been the trend in last week’s Sportpesa Megajackpot, a stunning comeback was in the works. The hosts pulled a goal back via Zoran Gajic with 20 minutes left on the clock and the match really came to life. Robert Matejov scored the equalizer with just 10 minutes to go sending the home fans into pandemonium. There was still a final twist in this thrilling match as Jean-David proved to be the home side hero as he scored the winner in the 2nd minute of additional time to ensure that the home side kicked off their season with maximum points.

The result meant that our prediction was nullified as we had backed the away side and up until the 70th minute we had it in the bag as they were 2 nil up but the stunning comeback was one we just couldn’t predict. The lesson we have picked from the 1st two matches was that in this season opening matches, historical data doesn’t really carry weight as the underdogs had so far punched well above their weight.

FC Hermanstadt V Sepsi OSK

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 1-0

This was our 1st accurate prediction as we had gone for a home win as FC Hermanstadt and Sepsi OSK clashed for three important points at the Városi Stadion in yet another first match of a season but this time in the Romania Liga 1.

As these two sides had never met before, we couldn’t rely on head to head records and thus based our pick on current form as well as overall performance in the previous season.

The hosts had finished at position 2 with 91 points in this ROMANIA Liga II 2017/2018 with just a single loss to their name. Sepsi on the other hand finished in position 12 with 19 points in the ROMANIA Liga 1 2017/2018 with a staggering 15 losses. Despite the fact that this was a 1st match in the main league after gaining promotion. We backed them for a win as the visitors were on a run of 5 losses in their last 5 matches including preseason friendlies. We thus backed the underdog as they had won their last 2 preseason friendly matches, drawn twice and lost just once and it proved to be the right call.

The solitary goal in the match came in and around the 11 minute courtesy of Stefan Miluta who proved to be the home town hero in their 1st match in the Romania League 1 after their promotion.

Botev Plovdiv V Levski Sofia

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 0-1

We backed the away side to win this one and were once again proved right by the final whistle. Botev Plovdiv hosted Levski Sofia at Stadion Letná in yet another season opener, this time in the Bulgaria First League.

We based our pick on the final league positions in the previous season as this was a season opener. Botev had finished in position 5 with a tally of 42 points while the visitors ended the season in 3rd position with a tally of 50 points. Previous head to head records also favored the away side and aided in our final pick. Both teams had met 20 times in which they drew 3 times, Botev Plovdiv had 6 wins and won in 11 of those matches.

However, matches aren’t won on paper and it proved to be a really even encounter and either team created enough chances to win it. The match winning goal came at the very end of the match in the literal sense as Iliya Dimitrov nicked the winner in the 3rd minute of added time to ensure the hosts ran away with maximum points in the season opener.

Mezokovesdi SE V Paksi FC

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 3-1

Mezokovesdi and Paksi SE clashed for three important points at Városi Stadion In the Hungary NB 1. In what was another season opening match, we once again backed the home team to get the maximum points and it proved an accurate prediction by the final whistle.

As both teams had met 8 times resulting in 2 draws, 3 wins for the hosts and 3 wins as well for the visitors, there wasn’t really much to separate the two in terms of head to head records. The visitors had the edge in terms of final league standings last season as they finished in 7th position with 42 points as compared to their opponents who finished in 9th position with 37 points. However, the inseparable head to head records meant we made our call based purely on gut feeling which at the time led as to backing the home side and it proved to be the right call.

Goals by Stefan Drazic, Attila Szalai and an own goal by David Kulcsar gave the hosts a comfortable margin and ensured maximum points. The visitors’ consolation goal was scored by David Kulcsar who ended up scoring on both ends, a rare but unenviable fete.

Philadelphia Union v LA Galaxy

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 1-3

We had backed the away side to win as Philly Union hosted Los Angeles Galaxy at the Talen Energy Stadium looking to continue with their good positive run.

The basis of our decision was rather unorthodox as with both teams in fine form coming into this, our decision was hinged on the Zlatan Ibrahimovic factor after his recent transfer to LA Galaxy and he proved to be the game changer as we had expected.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Michael Ciani and Ola Kamara each scored one goal to lift the LA Galaxy past the Philadelphia Union, 3-1, on what was a rainy and windy Saturday night. Sapong had given the hosts a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute when he redirected a shot in front for his third goal of the season. They went into the locker room with a 1-0 lead and had been 6-0-0 this season when winning at half-time.

However the visitors rallied and the Zlatan effect proved to be vital in turning the match on its tide. In the 48th minute, the visitors tied the game at 1 all when Kamara broke free and chipped a shot over Blake. Ibrahimovic had sent a beautiful pass through three Union players to a streaking Kamara, who notched his eighth goal of the season.

The Swedish talisman then turned from provider to scorer when he dribbled to the left of the box in the 63rd minute and sent a strike into the net for a 2-1 Galaxy lead. It was his 12th goal in 15 games since joining the Galaxy. The match was then put to bed when Ciani scored in the 82nd minute by finishing a corner kick with a header to give the visitors a two-goal cushion thereby effectively guaranteeing maximum points.

CF Pachuca V CF Monterrey

Our 1st Pick: X

Result: 0-1

CF Monterrey-the defending champions kicked off their league defense with a visit to Estadio Hidalgo to play against Pachuca in what proved to be a hotly contested match. We had backed a draw as the final result in this particular one but it proved inaccurate by the end of the 90 as the away side walked away with maximum points.

We based our decision on previous head to head stats and current form as this was yet another season opening match but this time in the Mexico Clausura Liga MX. The two sides had met 45 times in the past, Pachuca having won 14 times, CF Monterrey 17 times and drawn 14 times. This showed that despite being the underdog on paper, the hosts were capable of causing an upset on more than one occasion against this particular opponent.

However, a solitary goal by Aviles Hurtado in and around the 64th minute proved to be the match winner despite the hosts having more of the ball and more shots. In retrospect, maybe backing the underdogs against the defending league champions because it was the first match of the new season was a stretch but it was a really tight match.

Celaya V Dorados

Our 1st Pick: X

Result: 1-1

We had backed a draw in this one as Celaya and Dorados clashed in the first match Ascenso MX 2018-2019 at Estadio Miguel Alemán Valdés and it proved to be an accurate prediction.

We based our decision on current form in which the visitors had an edge over their rivals having won 3 of their last 5 matches in their preseason friendlies compared to the hosts who had only managed 1 win in their last 5. This meant most tipsters would have gone for an away win which would have been backed by the head to head records which gave the away side an edge as well. The two sides had met 15 times in the past, Celaya FC having won 4 times, Dorados FC 7 times and 4 matches ending in a stalemate. However, we went for a draw based on the fact that the hosts were defending champions and we felt that despite their lacklustre form, they would settle for a point in what was not only the fast match of the season but their 1st home match as well and it proved true.

Goals from Kevin Favela and a Christian Baez penalty ensured that the spoils were shared in what was a feisty encounter in which the home side had to see out the last 20 minutes a man less after Rodrigo Lopez was given his matching orders. The visitors piled on the pressure and tried to make the extra man count but the hosts defended resolutely and ensured they earned a point.

Juarez FC V Alebrijes Oaxaca

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 1-0

Juarez FC were seeking a win as they welcomed Alebrijes Oaxaca on what was yet another season opening match in the Mexico  Ascenso MX. We had backed the home side to bag all three points based on vital historical data as well as home ground advantage as we didn’t have any current data to help in finding a favorite.

It was pretty even in terms of head to head records as they had met a total of 9 times in the past, Juarez having won 3 times, Alebrijes 3 times and 3 matches ending as draws. However, Juarez had managed to keep 2 clean sheets in the last 3 matches over their rivals at home hence our decision to back them and it proved accurate.

It seemed like the match was headed for a draw but Lucas Da Silva had other ideas as he scored 7 minutes into added time sending the home crowd into frenzy.

AC Horsens V Randers FC

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 1-1

We had gone for a home team win when AC Horsens hosted Randers FC at the CASA Arena in the 2018-19 Denmark Superliga.  Notably, this was only the match in the new season thereby most stats couldn’t be really relied heavily on and our prediction proved inaccurate by the end of regulation time.

We based our pick on current form and after opening their season with a win against Copenhagen, the hosts were in fine form compared to the visitors who had lost in their season opener. We thus believed that the win meant they came into this one with momentum but as a pundit once said, football matches aren’t won on paper.

The visitors drew 1st blood when Benjamin Stokke scored in the 36th minute and were it not for a penalty awarded to the home side with just 4 minutes to go which was converted by Mathias; this one was headed for an even worse upset in relation to our prediction.

AGF Aarhus V FC Nordsjalland

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 1-1

This is yet another match in which our pick proved untrue by the end of 90 minutes of nerve-wrecking football. FC Nordsjalland traveled to Ceres Park for the second week match of the all-new 2018-19 Denmark Superliga.

We based on our decision to back the away side for a win on head to head stats which had them at a slight advantage. The two sides had met 35 times in the past, AGF Aarhus having won 10 times, FC Nordsjalland 18 times and drawn 7 times. Kasper Hjulmand had been doing a phenomenal job since he took charge of FC Nordsjalland in 2016. He had an unbeaten record stretching back to early May and we felt that this would go a long way in helping them secure a win in this game.

The visitors did draw 1st blood when Skov Olsen scored after just 4 minutes but they failed to make their early momentum count and hosts slowly clawed themselves back into the match. Their point earning goal came in the 71st minute courtesy of Jakob Ankersen.

Fjolnir V Vestmannaeyjar

Our 1st Pick: X

Result: 1-1

We expected a rowdy crowd at the Extra Völlurinn when Fjolnir played against Vestmannaeyjar with a draw our top pick and this proved to be an accurate prediction.

We based our pick purely on current form which portrayed that both team were really struggling at the bottom end of Iceland League or Urvalsdeild. Both teams had won just once in the last 5 matches and we felt that they’d both be willing to settle for a point if only just to end the rut and it proved to be an accurate assessment.

A goal by Bimir Ingasson for the hosts and the equalizer by Gunnar Heldar was all the goal mouth action in this encounter and the result reflected the general style of play as both sides were more afraid of losing than actually winning.

Waterford UTD V Shamrock Rovers

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 0-1

Waterford UTD and Shamrock Rovers fought valiantly for the three points at Waterford Regional Sports Centre over the weekend in the Republic of Ireland Premier Division- 2018. We had gone for a home win but it was to be as the visitors pulled one of the surprises of the weekend.

We based our decision on head to head records as well as current form. The two sides had met 25 times in the past, Waterford UTD having won 10 times, Shamrock Rovers 7 times and drawn 8 times. Notably as well, the hosts came into this one having lost just once in their last 5 matches.

Couple the above with the fact that Alan Reynolds’ men were undefeated in their last 4 matches and possessed a rock-solid form at home with 9 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss in the last 12 games, and you get why we backed them for a win in this one.

Once again, we were reminded that football matches aren’t won on paper as Gary Shaw scored a 75th winner to silence the home crowd as well as send the travelling fans into a state of pure joy.

MAS Taborsko V Hradec Kralove

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 0-1

It’s always a thrilling encounter when Mas Taborsko welcomes Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic FNL. This was yet another season opening match and our decision to back the away side to carry the day in this one proved accurate.

As it was the first match in the new season, we based our pick purely on the most recent head to head records which had the away side at an advantage. In their last 5 h2h, Mas Taborsko had won none, Hradec Kralove won 3 times and two matches ended in a draw. The fact that the visitors came into this one on a 3 match winning streak, albeit in preseason friendlies, also helped tip our scales in their favor.

The match was a strange one to say the least, a solitary goal by Ladislav Martan as early as the 2nd minute was all that was needed to ensure that the away side walked away with maximum points.

Sirius FC V IFK Goteborg

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 3-2

This was yet another strong contender for match of the weekend as it had what can be only described as a stunning comeback by the home side. Majority of the tipsters including ourselves had gone for an away win as bottom dwellers Sirius FK hosted IFK Goteborg in the 2018 Sweden Allsvenskan on match day 15.

We had based our pick on both current form as well as head to head records. The stats weighed heavily in favor of the away side and we made our pick accordingly. The two sides had met 5 times in the past, Sirius FK winning just once, Goteborg 2 times and two matches ending in draws. The fact that Sirius had an abysmal record at home with 0 wins in their last 7 matches, was enough to convince that it would be a positive advantage for Goteborg to secure a straight win.

The fact that football matches aren’t won on paper once again proved true as the home side fought valiantly and were duly rewarded with maximum points. Goals from Emil Salomonsson and Giorgi Kharaishvili in the 13th and 37th minute respectively gave the visitors a 2 goal lead and all seemed to be going according to plan, or so it seemed. However, Philip Haglund pulled a goal back for the hosts right at the stroke of half-time to hand them a lifeline.

This meant that the hosts had the momentum coming into the 2nd half and boy did they rally back. Their constant pressure paid off as they were awarded 2 penalties in the 2nd half both of which were converted by Jesper Arvidsson, the hero of the day. The match was well beyond boiling point by this point and Lukas Johnsson was sent off in and around the 82nd minute leaving the hosts to defend their slender advantage a man less. The home crowd played a huge part in the last few minutes as they cheered their team on to a much needed victory.

Wisla Plock V Lech Poznan

Our 1st Pick: X

Result: 1-2

Wisla Plock and Lech Poznan faced off at Stadion im Kazimierza Górskiego for what was yet another 1st match of the season but this time in the Poland Ekstraklasa 2018-2019. We had a draw as our 1st pick but it was literally nullified at the very last minute of the game.

Our pick was based on a stat that is often overlooked and were it for some minute heroics, we almost had it. The head to head stats favored the away team. The two sides had met a total of 17 times in the past, Wisla Plock having won 4 times, Lech Poznan 7 times and 6 matches ending in a draw. Couple this with the fact that the visitors finished 1st in the previous season compared to Wisla’s 4th place finish and one would understand why an away win would have been the 1st pick. However, the hosts would be the fresher side in this battle since their rivals had been engaging in the Europa league qualification. This simple fact is why we thought the fatigue levels would play a hand and force the match into a stalemate.

However, with the match tied at 1 all going into the final minute of regulation time, Pedro Tiba nicked a goal and ensured that the visitors walked away with maximum points.

Arsenal Kyiv V FK Lviv

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 0-2

We had gone for a home win as our pick when Arsenal Kyiv hosted FK Lviv at Stadion Dynamo im Valery Lobanovsky but it proved inaccurate as the high flying home side were given a rude welcome to the Ukraine Druha Liga Group A in their very 1st match.

We based our decision on the fact that the hosts had a successful experience last season and they managed to finish on top of the Ukraine Persha Liga. This would be their first time playing in the Ukraine premier league in almost 7 years after a successful promotion campaign. Couple this with home ground advantage and you can understand why we backed them given that there weren’t previous head to head matches between the two.

We had backed an upset in terms of final result given that it was the 1st match of the season between two teams that hadn’t faced each other in this decade. However, goals from Voronin and Artur ensured that any sort of upset wasn’t in the cards as the away side went away with maximum points.

As you have probably noted by now, majority of the matches in last weeks’ sportpesa megajackpot were 1st matches of a new season and some pitted teams that had never faced each other. We do not believe in excuses, just lessons. In every defeat there was a lesson, the lack of any form of usable data proved a challenge but we did learn that in this opening matches, the outcomes generally went against the trend with some remarkable comebacks as well. Going into this week’s sportpesa megajackpot, we hope to try out some of the lessons we’ve learnt and hopefully well land on the bonus zone just as we did a mere fortnight ago.

That’s it for yet another Sportpesa Megajackpot Analysis and despite our lowest ever result, we do believe that the only way from here is up.

At Multibets Kenya, we have something for everyone and always remember to bet responsibly.

Week 28:Post Match Sportpesa Mega Jackpot Analysis .How we won the bonus

SPORTPESA MEGAJACKPOT, POST-MATCH ANALYSIS – THE BREAKDOWN.

[maxbutton id=”12″]

Welcome to yet another Sportpesa Megajackpot Post-Match Analysis. Let us kick off by congratulating all our clients who ended up winning the Sportpesa Megajackpot Bonuses as we got 12/17 correct predictions! There were close calls and red cards that threw some of the games off not to mentioning simply shocking results but in the end we are very happy to say that we ended up with a Sportpesa Megajackpot Winning Slip. With that in mind, below is the breakdown of the results as well as an in depth look of our research methodology in the hopes that with each loss we all gain a lesson that could potentially set us on our way back to the Sportpesa Megajackpot Bonus promise land once again in the coming week.

[maxbutton id=”4″ url=”https://www.multibet.co.ke/mega-jackpot-prediction/” ]

CFR Cluj V CS U Craiova

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 1-0

A 78th minute penalty was all that separated these two stalwarts of the Romanian league. It proved to be a rather cagey affair with neither team really making inroads in either end.

The penalty was converted by Emmanuel Culio for the hosts and Cluj then went on to put e decent defensive shift for the last 12 or so minutes to ensure they bagged the maximum points.

We had gone for a home win based on historical records which gave the home side an upper hand and it proved an accurate prediction.

[maxbutton id=”12″]

IFK Goteborg V Orebro SK

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 2-0

A goal midway through the 1st half and one at the very end was enough to ensure that the hosts bagged maximum points in this Swedish league encounter.

The match was fiery as expected and it wasn’t long before the visitors found themselves a man down when Nordin was given his matching orders in and around the 23rd minute. The visitors made their numerical advantage count just 6 minutes later when Giorgi found the back of the net.

The visitors were pegged back in their own half for most of the match as expected being a man less and the hosts put the match to bed just after the stipulated 90 minutes when Omarsson made it 2 nil sending the home fans into a frenzy.

We had gone for an away win based on current form statistics but the red card changed the entire outlook of the match and nullified our prediction.

[maxbutton id=”4″]

Tombense V Operário Ferroviário

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 0-1

We had gone for an away win in this particular one based on the fact that the hosts were on a really awful winless run in which they hadn’t won a single match in their last 6 in the Brazilian Serie C. Operário on the other hand were in fine form and had the upper hand in the head to head stats.

A goal by Xuxa in the 63rd minute was all that was needed to ensure that the visitors continued their fine run while validating our prediction as well.

[maxbutton id=”12″]

 Ypiranga RS V Bragantino SP

Our 1st Pick: X

Result: 1-1

Ypiranga RS welcomed Bragantino SP to Estádio Olímpico Colosso da Lagoa with high hopes of beating their longtime rivals in the Brazilian Serie C. The two sides had met thrice in the past with Bragantino SP winning two matches and drawing 1 match in those meetings.

The hosts had been under-performing having not won any match in the last 3 and needed to win this one. They had been excellent while paying at home where they registered 3 wins a single loss and 2 draws in 6 matches played there.

The visitors had laudable results in their last 5 matches with 4 wins and thus came into this one as the on-form side and the fact that they had never lost against the hosts in past meetings gave them the edge.  However, based on the fact that the hosts were formidable at home despite their current form and the fact that the visitors were yet to lose a match against this particular opponent, we went for a draw as the most likely outcome and it proved an accurate prediction.

The visitors drew first blood when Matheus Peixoto scored in the 23rd minute but the hosts rallied and equalized in the second half with Rafinha the scorer in the 54th minute to ensure the spoils were shared.

[maxbutton id=”12″]

Volta Redonda RJ V Luverdense MT

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 2-0

This was yet another thrilling match in the Brazilian Serie C last Saturday as Redonda welcomed Luverdense the Estádio Municipal General Raulino de Oliveira.

The hosts having played 13 matches were at position 9 with 13 points while the visitors having played 13 matches were at position 5 with 15 points.

We had gone for a home win as our pick due to the fact that the hosts had won 4 times, drawn 0 times and lost 2 times in their overall 6 home matches while the visitors despite their superior position in the table standings had lost 4 times in their overall 7 away games played. The hosts needed to move off the bottom of the pile which fueled our home win pick as well and it proved an accurate prediction.

Daniel Felipe Sa Nascimento proved to be the hero as he scored twice in the 1st half to ensure the home side bagged the maximum points. Notably, Paulo Rene was sent off in the very last minute of normal time meaning the visitors finished the match with 10 men.

 [maxbutton id=”4″ url=”https://www.multibet.co.ke/mega-jackpot-prediction/” ]

Juazeirense V Atletico Acreano

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 4-0

It would be safe to say we got this particular one completely wring as the hosts defied the form and stats to run riot against their fierce rivals in the Brazilian Serie C at the Estádio Estadual Jornalista Edgar Augusto Proença.

The fact that Juazeirense having played 13  matches were at position 9 with 13 points while their opponents having played 13 matches sat atop the table standings with 26 points was the main reason as to why we went for an away win as our top pick. However, as is always the case with football, matches aren’t won on paper and the hosts rallied to record a victory that will live long in the memory of the ecstatic home fans.

The two sides last played each other earlier this year with Atlético Acreano winning 5 – 0 , albeit on neutral ground which further fueled our away in pick.

Toni and Salatiel de Oliveira were the heroes of the day as they both scored twice in the 1st half to put the match well beyond reach. What made victory even more impressive was the fact that the hosts played the entire second half with 10 men as Emilio Santos Souza was given his matching orders at the very end of the 1st half.

[maxbutton id=”12″]

Remo PA V Botafogo PB

Our 1st Pick: X

Result: 0-0

This was yet another feisty encounter as Botafogo PB and Remo PA battled in the Brazil serie C on match day 13. We had gone for a draw as our top pick based on current form and head to head records and it proved an accurate prediction as neither team found the back of the net in the stipulated time.

The hosts having played 13 matches were at position 10 with a tally of 11 points while their arch rivals having played 13 matches as well were at position 5 with an impressive 17 points to show for it. With the visitors having drawn 5 times in their away matches, we felt that this trend would be the safest to back and it proved true.

São Bento V Ponte Preta

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 0-2

In what was a thrilling match, Ponte Preta had travelled to the Estádio Moisés Lucarelli to clash with their fierce rivals in the Brazilian Serie B hoping to come away with maximum points and they were successful.

We had backed the away to win this one based not only on the current form standings but on their formidable track record away from home as well. They had won 4 times drawn once and lost just twice in their overall 5 matches played on away ground. Their last match was away against the formidable and they had comfortably beaten them with a 2 goal margin further solidifying our choice to back them for a win, and it proved to be an accurate prediction.

Junior Santos proved to be the match winner in this one as he scored two goals in either half to ensure that Ponte Preta continued on their remarkable away winning run.

Orlando City V Toronto fc

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 2-1

Chris Schuler and Dom Dwyer scored as Orlando City held on to end a nine-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over Toronto FC at Orlando City Stadium on Saturday and nullify our prediction of an away win. We had backed Toronto to carry the day purely based on the home side’s abysmal current form in the MLS in which they had won just 6 times drawn once  and lost a mind-boggling 11 times.

The home crowd needed a response from their team and respond they did as they finally beat the odds and secured a much needed win. The Lions didn’t make it easy on themselves though as Toronto’s Nick Hagglund made it 2-1 in the fourth minute of stoppage time on nearly the last play of the match.

The two sides had met a total of 9 times with Orlando City recording just a single win whereas Toronto FC had 7 wins and 1 draw which further explains our pick but it just wasn’t to be as the home side fought valiantly to secure maximum points.

Minnesota United V Real Salt Lake

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 3-2

This 5 goal thriller was arguably the match of the weekend as both teams went at it right from kick off with the hosts edging their MLS rivals ever so slightly for the win and consequently proving our home win pick was an accurate one.

Darwin Quintero scored one goal and assisted on two others to help host Minnesota United FC edge Real Salt Lake 3-2 on Saturday night. The win was just the second in six games for the Loons. Minnesota overcame a sluggish first-half effort on offense with big play after big play from Quintero. The Loons needed every last one of those plays. Salt Lake nearly erased a three-goal deficit behind late heroics from Joao Plata. It wasn’t enough to help RSL avoid losing for the eighth time in 10 road matches this season. Their lacklustre away form was a factor we considered as well when we backed the home team for the win.

The visitors did rally late on to cut the deficit to a solitary goal but it was a case of a little too late as the hosts held on for a memorable home win.

Colorado Rapids v Houston Dynamo

Our 1st Pick: X

Result: 0-0

We had gone for a draw as our pick in this MLS clash based on current form and head to head records and it proved to be an accurate prediction as these two settled for a share of the spoils by the end of regulation time.

Scoring chances were rare and fleeting as the Houston Dynamo and Colorado Rapids played to scoreless draw on Saturday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. Goalkeepers Tim Howard of Colorado and Joe Willis of Houston recorded their fourth and third shutouts, respectively, of the season, but were seldom tested. Howard made just two saves and Willis turned away three shots in the match between the two long-time Western Conference rivals.

The two sides had met 31 times in the past, Colorado Rapids having won 11 times, Houston Dynamo 12 times and a total of 8 matches ended as draws. This was the main reason we backed a draw as the most likely outcome and it proved to be an accurate prediction.

 [maxbutton id=”4″ url=”https://www.multibet.co.ke/mega-jackpot-prediction/” ]

Tokyo Verdy V Renofa Yamaguchi

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 3-1

This was yet another match that threw all the form books and stats out the window as the hosts registered a convincing win against their much fancied rivals in the Japanese League Division 2.

Tokyo Verdy having played 22 matches was at position 10 with 32 points coming into this one while their rivals having played the same number of matches were at position 3 with an impressive tally of 40 points. The fact that Renofa had won 5 times drawn 5 times and lost just 2 times in their overall 12 matches played on away ground was a key factor in our decision to back them to win this one. Head to head records also gave the visitors a slight edge as the two sides had met a total of 5 times in the past with the hosts winning just once while the rivals had beaten them thrice and drawn just once. However, history was re-written as the hosts ran out as comfortable winners.

Douglas Vieira and Tomohiro Taira pulled the hosts 2 goals ahead with goals in the 6th and 69th minute respectively. The visitors did pull one back when Kazuhito Kishida scored in the 74th but, any hopes of a comeback were effectively extinguished when Jik Ri Yong scored the home sides 3rd goal in the 78th minute in what was a truly pulsating encounter.

The home win meant our prediction was inaccurate, in retrospect, when in doubt we have learnt that it’s always safer to back the home team in the lively Japanese League.

Niigata Albirex V Yokohama

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 0-1

A solitary goal by Akira Toshima in and around the 73rd minute was all that was needed to ensure that the away side walked away with maximum points in the Japanese League division 2, thereby negating our pick of a home win.

We expected a tight battle as Niigata Albirex faced off with Yokohama with the stats slightly giving the home side an edge thereby explaining our pick. The fact that the visitors had lost 10 times away from home was key in our decision making system but once again, this game we love threw us a curve ball as they squashed their trend and emerged victorious.

The two sides had met a total of 9 times in the past, with Niigata Albirex having won 8 times, while Yokohama had only won once. This proved to be of little consequence as Yokohama defied all odds for a truly deserved morale boosting win.

Tochigi SC V Montedio Yamagata

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 1-0

A solitary goal by star player, Kazuki Nishiya midway through the 2nd half proved to be the winning one as the home side held on for a narrow win and consequently validated our pre-match prediction of this spicy Japanese League Division 2 clash.

The hosts, having played 22 matches were at position 18 with 23 points coming into this one while their highly fancied rivals having played the same number of matches, were at position 9 with a tally of 34 points. The head to head records also favored the away side as he two sides had met  a total of  7 times in the past, Tochigi SC winning twice, Montedio Yamagata 3 times and 2 matches ending in a draw. However, we backed the underdog in this one as their opponents were set to be without several key players due to injury.

It was risky to back the underdog but we felt that the absence of key personnel for the away side would be a key deciding factor and it proved to be an accurate assessment.

Omiya Ardija V Iota Trinita

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 1-0

Omiya Ardija were seeking for a win when they welcomed Oita Trinita at NACK5 Stadium and a successfully converted penalty by Genki Omae in the 4th minute was enough to secure a much needed 3 points for the home side and consequently validating our home win pick in yet another Japanese League Division 2 match.

We based our pick on current form as in their last 5 recent matches, the hosts had won 4 times, drawn 1 time and lost none. Their opponents were superior in terms of table standings as they travelled having played 22 matches and at position 2 with a commendable 40 points compared to the hosts who having played a similar number of matches, were at position 7 with 35 points. However, recent head to head to records told a different tale as in the last 5 h2h, Omiya Ardija had won 4 times while the highly favored Oita Trinita had won just once which explains our underdog pick.

Once again, backing the underdog was risky but we felt that current form and recent head to head records were enough to tip the scales and it proved to be an accurate assessment.

Kalmar V Djurgardens IF

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 0-1

A 4th minute goal by Jonathan Augustinsson proved to be the vital one in ensuring the visitors walked away with a vital 3 points in the fiery Swedish Allsvenskan and consequently validating our away win pre-match prediction.

Kalmar came into this match having played 12 matches and sitting at position 6 with 20 points while the visitors having played a similar number of matches were at position 4 with 21 points. A solitary point was all that separated these two and we expected a really tight affair and it proved to be the case.

Despite the fact that the hosts had lost none of their 5 matches played at home ground this season, we backed the away side to nick it mainly on previous head to head records whereby, having met a total of 36 times in the past, Kalmar had won 14 times while Djurgarden IF had a superior tally of 17 wins and 5 draws.

It was a closely fought encounter but our prediction proved true by the end of regulation time.

Norrkoping V BK Hacken

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 2-1

The last match in the Sportpesa Megajackpot also proved our pre-match prediction of a home win true as the hosts edged their bitter rivals to secure a vital 3 points in yet another Swedish Allsvenskan match.

We expected the Östgötaporten Stadium to be packed with vociferous fans when Norrkoping and BK Hacken squared off and it proved true as the home fans came out in large numbers. The hosts came into this one having played 12 matches and sitting at position 3 with 24 points, while their rivals having played a similar number of matches sat at position 8 with a tally of 18 points.

We backed the home side to secure maximum points mainly due to their exceptional home form. They had won 5 times drawn 0 times and lost just once in the 6 matches they had played at their home ground this season. The fact that the visitors had lost 4 times in their overall 6 matches played on away grounds cemented our choice to back the home side.

The fact that Norrkoping had won all the previous 5 head to head encounters was what tipped the scale and influenced our decision to back them for a win and it proved to be an accurate assessment.

The home side drew first blood when Simon Thern found the back of the net in and around the 19th minute. The visitors were resilient and were duly rewarded with and equalizer in the 23rd minute courtesy of a Paulinho goal to set the match up for a dramatic ending. As luck would have it, the winner came on late on in and around the 80th minute via a Kari Arkivuo unlucky own goal sending the vocal home crowd into a frenzy.

That’s it for another pulsating week of our sportpesa megajackpot post-match breakdown. There were some surprising results but with each failure one can only hope to learn. Here’s a tip for all our sports betting enthusiasts, sometimes stats may favor a particular team but dig deeper and trust by your gut. Sometime your winning slip could be hinged on you backing the underdog and going against the norm. As they say, fortune favors the bold. Once again, congratulations to all our clients who ended up winning the Sportpesa Megajackpot Bonus last week and here’s to many more wins. All our high odd multibets contain 30 to 100 odds and are made up of 12 to 14 games.

To always make sure you earn we recommend that you split the long multibet provided into three or four smaller multibets.

For example when we provide a 50 odds multibet made up of 14 games the best way to play it is as below:

Step 1:Allocate a stake of ksh 400 for placing your bets

Step 2:Stake ksh 100 on the long multibet of 14 games which would give you winnings of ksh 5000 when it wins

Step 3:Break down the long multibet into three smaller multibets containing 4 games each which will give you minimum odds of 4.How you split the games is at your own discretion but we recommend that you split them in the order that they are arranged

e.g

As per the above illustration in the incident that there is  a loss on the multibet there is a high chance that it will not happen on all the smaller multibets. This provides a higher possibility of firstly returning the money you spent to buy the tips and the money you used to place the bets.

Sportpesa Tips

SPORTPESA TIPS.

Let’s kick off with a simple question. Why do we love our sportpesa tips? We’d like to believe that it’s because we keep it simple, fun, and give you an opportunity to make some money! However, novices shouldn’t be in a haste to place their bets just yet. As simple as we try to make our sportpesa tips, it’s not exactly easy to get everything right when just starting out. One is at a serious risk of approaching things in the wrong way thereby making enjoying and utilizing our sportpesa tips a tad bit hard not to mention the fact that such an individual would be miles away from the path that leads to sustained profits.

It’s important that we lay a disclaimer early on, the above isn’t meant to stop you from adhering to sportpesa tips, far from it. It is our sincere hope that by going through this article, you will be able to pick on as many of the good sportpesa tips and habits from the onset as possible. Below are our 7 top sportpesa tips for novices. That’s right, we said SEVEN. There’s plenty to learn whether you are a complete novice or whether you just need a little refresher, as we all know, one can never really have enough of sportpesa tips.

Last thing to note before we delve into our sportpesa tips and betting tips in general. If you follow the tips as we’ve laid them out, we may not guarantee daily wins but we are more than confident that you will be a consistent winner as our sportpesa tips are derived from a rigorous and grueling research process. These tips will ensure that you have lots of fun, and they’ll give you a good foundation to work from if your goal is to make money.

  1. Learn All the Basics

Despite our well researched sportpesa tips, you need to learn the basics in terms of the various markets. For example, the over/under markets and what it’d take for you to be a winner when you place such a bet. This basic knowledge is vital in that despite our predictions, no one is perfect and you could tweak your bet slip based on your gut instinct and end up with a winning slip.

  1. Set a Budget

All the tips on this page are important, but none of them are more important than this one. Regardless of your bank account, or what your short term or long term goals are, you simply have to set a budget. You need to decide how much money you are prepared to put at risk, and make sure that you only bet what you are comfortable with.

  1. Be Selective

One aspect of sports betting and sportpesa tips that is rather appealing is the amount of options that are available on any particular game. These days you will have a wide variety of different types of markets to choose from. However, it’s important to be selective. Placing too many markets can be just as damaging as staking too much money, as this is also likely to lead to losing money more quickly. It’s hard to consistently make sensible selections when placing lots of markets, so it’s much better to concentrate on trying to find genuinely good opportunities.

You need to figure out what sportpesa markets work for you and which you find easiest to identify. We don’t want sports betting and in turn coming up with sportpesa tips to become a chore but rather we want it to be a profitable hobby that enjoy.

Work on finding your own preferred markets and methodologies and do not be influenced by others just because you heard a certain market has been profitable for certain individuals. This does not automatically mean that it will be profitable for you because you have not invested time and energy in coming up with strategies on how to identify game that provide opportunity in these markets.

  1. Place Your bets On the best sites

Betting online is without a doubt the easiest and most convenient way to place sports bets. The hardest part of betting online is deciding which sites to join, because there are so many to choose from. Although the majority of sites are reputable and safe to use, there are a few that are not. You obviously only want to use the very best sites, but how do you know which sites are the best?

This is where we come in. We make recommendations of the best sites to use, based on our own extensive research and testing. As you’ve probably figured out by now, Sportpesa is our number one site simply for user friendly interface and ease of transactions when it comes to processing your wins.

Sportpesa also provides more games and a larger variation of potentially profitable markets as compared to most of the other platforms. In sports betting always go with the biggest service provider available for liquidity purposes and the biggest in Kenya is sportpesa.

  1. Learn Some Simple Betting Strategies

Most novices don’t give any thought at all to the strategy involved in sports betting. This is perfectly reasonable, as there are lots of other things to focus on as a starter.  However, we believe it’s a mistake to ignore strategy embedded in our sportpesa tips completely. Most of the basics are relatively straightforward and easy to learn, and these basics can help you make good decisions. Obviously, there’s no need to learn about all the strategies involved, but a little knowledge can go a long way.

Start of with the basic markets such as double chance or over 1.5 goals which are easier to identify, have a higher probability of going through and offer reasonable odds especially those that have been wrongly priced.

  1. Always Compare Odds

This is one of the easiest of our sportpesa tips to follow. Comparing odds and lines quite simple, and takes just a few moments whenever you’re placing a bet. Since bookmakers and betting sites don’t all offer exactly the same odds, by shopping around a little for each bet, you can make sure that you get the best possible deal for every bet you place. For example, sportpesa may place and odd of 1.77 on a particular team while betin could place an odd of 1.81 on the same team. The differences in the odds and lines are usually quite small, but they add up over time.

  1. Keep Records of Your Betting

Very few novices bother to keep proper records of their sports betting. This could prove detrimental for two reasons. First, without any records it’s hard to keep track of how much is being spent. And, as we explained earlier, it’s very important to monitor spending and stick to a budget. Second, keeping records enables you to study those records periodically and look for ways to improve as despite our well researched sportpesa tips, you can always find smart ways to better your track record. This is vital when the long-term aim is to make a profit.

Above all, don’t get disheartened when losing. It’s important not to read too much into any losses. Losing as a beginner doesn’t mean that you’ll never make any money. Not even the best sports bettors in the world win every single wager that they place despite any sportpesa tips they may get, and in fact they can easily go on lengthy losing streaks where nothing works out as expected. If it can happen to them, it can happen to anyone.

Don’t forget, bet responsibly and try having some fun while at it.

Sportpesa Predictions

Sportpesa Predictions

Properly managing your bankroll is one of the most important factors when attempting to successfully implementing our sportpesa predictions thereby guaranteeing a consistent winning streak. We highly recommend that you follow two standard rules which can help reduce your risk of ruin and maximize the effectiveness of thoroughly researched and solid sportpesa predictions.

Flat Betting

At multibet Kenya, we highly recommend that you employ a flat-betting system where your bet size is the same for each bet you place e.g. Kshs 250. by employing this Flat betting system while basing your picks on our sportpesa predictions, you will be able to ride the ups and downs of investing and minimise the chance of bleeding your account dry when our sportpesa predictions end up on the losing side. It’s important to remember that no site can guarantee you 100% wins however reputable and thus it’s crucial that you minimise your risks. Flat betting is one of the ways we recommend you use to mitigate any potential risks.

Odd Management when coming up with sportesa predictions

One of the most crucial aspects of betting are the odds.To high and they become unrealistic, too low and they are not profitable. The trick is to find a balance that is realistic and easily achievable.

Odds are mostly dictated by the markets you are playing which will in turn dictate the number of matches.Always work with as few games as possible and work with markets that have a 50% and above chance of success such as double chances or both teams to score.

We recommend that a multibet created from sportpesa predictions should have not more than 6 games and should have an average odd of not more than 10 odds for a higher chance of success.

Unit Size for bank roll management

While experienced investors sometimes bet 4%-5% of their entire bankroll per bet, we recommend that you take a more conservative approach. The high risk high reward is all well and good but, sportpesa predictions are just that, predictions. This is why we advise that you only use a unit size of 1%-3%, especially for beginners, of your bankroll. This does not mean that we doubt our sportpesa predictions but rather that we highly value you as a client and go out of our way to ensure that your risks are covered in any way possible.

There are two types of bettors in the world.  The kind who just bet for fun without doing any real research or comparing of lines.  And those who bet to try to make a profit over the long run and beat the bookies.  If you want to bet a winning sportpesa bettor you will need to do a lot of your own research in order to find any edge against the bookies. Lucky for you, at multibet Kenya, we’ve already done most of the legwork in form of detailed research prior to us providing you with our sportpesa predictions. This does not mean that you shouldn’t do your own research as well, when it comes to football anything is possible and your gut may just lead you down the right path. It’s all about finding a balance between our sportpesa predictions and your gut instinct.

Some basic tricks to aid your research

Like anything else in life that has consistent occurrences there are certain statistical patterns in football and all you need to do to improve your chances is to identify these patterns.

For example many European leagues have a low occurrence of draws meaning most of their games fall into the double chance category of 12.

Many leagues in the middle east have a high scoring tendency meaning over 1.5 goal market is almost certain in these leagues. All you need to do is to identify certain universal patterns that coincide with an easy to achieve betting market and you are on your way to profitability. You can then create a methodology for coming up with sportpesa predictions that are profitable.

It is important to note that there isn’t a perfect strategy that fits all. The best way to invest your money depends on your risk profile. Those of you who are risk prone will prefer risking a higher percentage of the bank, while others may feel more comfortable risking a smaller percentage. There is no right or wrong, it’s all dependent on your appetite for risk and how much confidence you have in our sportpesa predictions. Which is the maximum amount you should bet? In our opinion it’s important to set a limit and always respect it, but then again, there is no consensus on this, it all really depends on ones’ individual traits as well as ability to take a loss every once in a while, without losing heart.

Do all the above and you just might end up on a long winning streak but you could get an added advantage if you enjoy the game of football. To enjoy the sport we bet on is fundamental to stay in touch with recent news with less effort. If we like the sport we’re more likely to keep up to date on anything related to it. Are there any injured players? What did the coach have to say before the match? What is the current form moment of both teams? What effect will this substitution have? It’s much easier to answer all these questions if we actually enjoy the game of football. Our sportpesa predictions will only get you so far, you need to find a way to make it a fun experience as well as a touch of lady luck when it comes to winning consistently.

sportpesa tipsters

Sportpesa Tipsters

At multibet Kenya, we like to pride ourselves in being the only sportpesa tipsters who go out of their way to give you the best insights to boost your chances of benefiting from this thrilling world of sports betting. Here are some basic soccer betting tips to get you thinking about some different angles you can research and push you in the right direction. We don’t mean to brag but most of the sportpesa tipsters out there wouldn’t want you to get the information we are just about to serve up for you.

PREVIOUS PERFORMANCES

Form can play a major role in the confidence and ability of a team.  If a club is on a roll they could be playing amazing soccer and feel unbeatable.  Even if a team didn’t win their last game we still suggest reading the recap (if you were unable to watch the match) to try to understand the teams form at the moment and if they got unlucky to lose (or lucky to win) their last matches.

MOTIVATION

You can say that motivation plays a big role in soccer matches at times regardless of what your sportpesa tipsters tell you. Some teams will bring their A game to European competitions, but struggle in their own league.  Others will play their best against certain rivals because fans demand a win, a good example being the north London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham.  After a tough loss in the Champions League a team may not be able to find the motivation to play a somewhat ‘meaningless’ game in their domestic league.  Look at how players may react to different situations with their team and try to predict who wants it more.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE

This plays a huge roll in soccer matches and should not be overlooked when predicting an outcome.  In general soccer teams have a big advantage when playing in front of their home fans.  This is generally even more true when playing in either European competitions or against teams in other leagues (such as a Champions League match) because the travel will be longer and the surroundings will be that much more unfamiliar.  That being said, it is possible to find teams that perform well on the road and betting on these teams away from home can often be profitable because bookies will often set the odds in favor of the home team regardless of each teams’ home vs away records.

NOTABLE INJURIES

For a sport where so many players factor into the outcome certain players can really play a large role in a team’s success. For example, if Messi picks up an injury or Salah is rested, you may notice that bookies will quickly reduce the odds of either of their clubs winning as these players are hugely influential when it comes to how the respective clubs perform.  Be sure to investigate each team’s injuries and the replacement players to try to determine how the injury will affect the outcome of the match. If you get this bit of news early enough and place your bets accordingly, you could actually end up beating the bookies by grabbing a juicy odd early on.

COMPARE ODDS

You will notice this tip mentioned at the bottom of pretty much all of our sportpesa tipsters articles and this is because it is so important.  If you can find a bet on Manchester City at 2.40 at on betin and at 2.60 on sportpesa, you should obviously place the bet at odds of 2.60.  This may not seem like a lot, but it will add up significantly over time and if you plan on being a profitable bettor this is a must.

So, there you have it, the information that majority of sportpesa tipsters wouldn’t want you to know has been laid bare. We have more good news for you, we consider all the above when making our sportpesa predictions. This is why we have been mentioned as one of if not the best sportpesa tipsters in town.

At multibet Kenya, we have something for everyone.

SPORTPESA-MEGA-JACKPOT-POST-GAME-ANALYSIS

Click here to get this week’s MJP tips

Welcome to yet another sportpesa mega jackpot  post game analysis. We got 11/17 correct predictions. There were close calls and red cards that threw some of the games off not to mentioning simply shocking results. However, below is the breakdown of the results as well as an in depth look of our research methodology in the hopes that with each loss we all gain a lesson that could potentially set us on our way to the mega jackpot bonus promise land.

HONKA V KUPS KUOPIO
Our 1st Pick: 1
Result: 2-1
A 7th minute penalty converted by Javier Hervas and a second goal courtesy of Borja Martin in the 37th minute was enough to see the on-form hosts secure a home win. The visitors did pull one back just after the restart of the 2nd half via Petteri Pennanen in and around the 48th minute but the hosts hanged on valiantly for the victory.
We had gone for a home win as our pick and it proved to be the correct prediction. We based our prediction on head to head records between these two in which Honka had won 14 of the encounters as compared to Kups’ 10. Couple that with home ground advantage and you understand our pick.

JJK JYVASKYLA V AC KAJAANI
Our 1st Pick: 2
Result: 2-2
This was one of those matches that last long in the memory of both sets of fans. It was the real definition of an end to end encounter with both teams fighting tooth and nail in pursuit of maximum points.
The visitors raced off the blocks in fine fashion as Adeniyi Ibiyomi fired them ahead after just 15 minutes. However, the hosts refused to go down without a fight and they fought back bravely resulting in an equalizer just after the re-start of the second half with Patrik Alaharjula making it 1-1 in the 49th minute. The visitors, who have been in fine scoring form and they responded immediately with Alberto Ramirez pulling them ahead again in the 53rd minute. The hosts had it all to do again and with the home crowd fully behind them, they drew level once again after only 9 minutes courtesy of a Saku Leppanen goal. This meant that the teams had to settle for a share of the spoils with the hotly contested match ending 2-2.
We had an away win as our pick based on the form table. The visitors had lost only once in their last 6 matches while the hosts had won just once in their last 6 matches. Our prediction was nullified by the 63rd minute equalizer.

EIF EKENAS V AC OULU
Our 1st Pick: X
Result: 0-2
This match proved that despite all the hard stats and data, football predictions also needs a huge smile from lady luck.
The visitors surprisingly got off to a flying start with Alvarado Morin pulling them ahead as early as the 9th minute. It was more bad luck for the hosts as Chakib Hocine was sent off in the 36th minute throwing any sort of predictions out the window. Playing a man less is no easy fete and the visitors duly exploited the spaces to score the second via the same player and seal the 3 points.
We had gone for a draw based on head to head records which indicated a high probability of a stalemate but the red-card changed the total outlook of the match.
FC KTP V FF JARO
Our 1st Pick: X
Result: 0-1
This is yet another match that proved that when it comes to spot on predictions in football, stats mean nothing without a pinch of luck.
In what was an insipid encounter, these two teams were separated by a solitary goal scored by Kareem Moses in and around the 31st minute giving the visitors a much-needed away win.
On paper, their stats were almost identical with the teams playing out 4 draws in their last 6 clashes, but then again, matches aren’t won on paper, now are they?
We had gone for a draw based on head to head stats but it proved to be an incorrect prediction.

PERU V DENMARK
Our 1st Pick: 2
Result: 0-1
The world cup has been full of upsets and shocking results and this particular match followed this trend as majority had tipped Peru to win this one. However, we gave Demark an outside chance to win it simply based on the fact that European sides such as Denmark have more experience on the international stage as well as the Eriksen effect, a player who is simply full of goal creating abilities.
Needless to say, this proved to be a thrilling encounter with chances plenty for both teams. The Peruvians were unlucky as well as wasteful with Christian Cueva had ballooning a penalty – awarded after VAR consultation – over the bar just before half-time in the most glaring of several misses from the Latin American side, who were back in the World Cup finals after a gap of 36 years.
They were duly punished when Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen who had an otherwise quiet outing provided the pivotal moment when he threaded an immaculate pass through the defence for Poulsen to beat advancing goalkeeper Pedro Gallese in the 59th minute. The match ended 1-0 in favor of the Danes with Peru having no one to blame but themselves.
We had picked Denmark to win this and it proved to be an accurate prediction.

GEFLE IF V OSTERS IF

Our 1st Pick: 2
Result: 2-4
We all love high-scoring matches and this one certainly had goals in plenty with a total tally of 6 goals by the time the final whistle blew.
The visitors kicked off to a flying start and Dragan Kapcevic pulled them ahead as early as the 11th minute. Things went from bad to worse as Simon Helg made 2 nil just 15 minutes later. The hosts needed some form of response in order to stay within touching distance of their visitors and Jesper Floren gave them a life-line when he pulled a goal back in the 35th minute.
However, the visitors restored their 2-goal advantage just 4 minutes courtesy of a Mattias Pavic goal. The hosts did hand themselves a life-line once again when Anton Kralj made it 2-3 in the 58th minute but the visitors once again capitalized on some shambolic defending and restored the 2-goal cushion just 2 minutes later via David Johannesson and the match ended 2-4 in favor of the visitor.
We had tipped the visitors to win this one based on head to head records in which the hosts hadn’t recorded a single victory against this particular opponent and it proved an accurate prediction.

IFK MARIEHAMN V ROPS ROVANIEMI
Our 1st Pick: X
Result: 1-3
This encounter is also one of those in which our predictions proved inaccurate despite relying on data regarding previous encounters which had a registered a high of 6 draws between these two. In retrospect, we should have factored in the form table as well which would have given the visitors an edge. Definitely going to try and marry various factors next time around.
The match was tied at 1 a piece for most of this match before a late flurry of goals in the 2nd half by the visitors put the match to bed. Lucas and Aapo proved to be the heroes of this particular story as they scored late on to secure maximum points for the visitors.
As mentioned earlier, we had gone for a draw as our pick and it proved inaccurate.
ROBUR SIENA V COSENZA
Our 1st Pick: 2
Result: 1-3
We are proud to say we got our prediction of this crucial promotion play off final spot on. As such vital matches are tough to predict with most experts giving both team a 50-50 chance, we relied heavily on the current form table in which Cosenza had won 4 of their previous 5 while the hosts hadn’t registered a single win in the same number of matches hence our choice of Cosenza as the team to back as the winner.
Goals from Mirko Bruccini and Gennaro Tutino respectively gave Cosenza a commanding lead of the game. Alessandro Marotta did give Robur Siena a glimmer of hope when he pulled a goal back in the 73rd minute. However, the game was put to bed when Allan Baclet restored Cosenza’s’ 2 goal cushion in the 87th to secure promotion to the Serie B.
As mentioned above, we had backed Cosenza to win and it proved an accurate prediction.

BRAGANTINO SP V BOTAFOGO SP
Our 1st Pick: 2
Result: 0-2
We went for an away win in this Brazilian Serie C match and we more than delighted to have gotten our predictions spot on. We relied heavily on current form and league standings in which Botafogo edged their rivals in all aspects.
Botafogo SP having played 9 matches were at position 1 with 18 points and they had won twice, drawn once and lost just once in their overall 4 away games played. As the visitors were at the helm of this division and based on their good form away from home too having won 2 and draw 1 match in 4 played at away grounds, we backed them to win it and they did.
Goals from Tcho and Dantas in the 1st half was all that was needed to secure a victory for the high-flying table toppers.

GIFU V MACHIDA ZELVIA
Our 1st Pick: 2
Result: 0-1
We had our predictions spot on this one as well as the away side went back home with maximum points. We based our predictions on the head to head records between these two in which Machida had 5 wins in 6 matches with Gifu only managing to beat them once.
It was a tight encounter to say the least as the solitary goal that ended up as the match winner came via an own goal by Kyogo Furuhashi with just 12 minutes to go before the end of the match.
FAGIANO OKAYAMA V YOKOHAMA
Our 1st Pick: X
Result: 0-0
Don’t be fooled by the score line as its always a spectacle when these two rivals, Fagiano Okayama and Yokohama play at the City Light Stadium. The last time the two met was on 12-11-2017, they drew 1-1 at Yokohama home ground and we based our prediction on this fact as well their current form standings.
Their stats were almost identical coming into this feisty encounter which explains why we had a draw as our pick and it proved to be an accurate one.

HAM-KAM V SOGNDAL
Our 1st Pick: 2
Result: 1-3
This one started off with a scare for us as we had backed the away team to carry the day with a one. The hosts however, kicked off to a flying start with Kristian Onstrud pulling them ahead as early as the 6th minute.
We had based our predictions on overall form and the visitors had simply been outstanding in this regard having lost just once in the last 6 matches. The hosts on the other hand had conceded 17 goals in just 12 matches which is why we were comfortable in backing Sogndal to win it.
Goals from Joachim, Kjetil and Ulrik were enough to see out a comfortable win for the high flying visitors.

JONKOPINGS SODRA V FALKENBERGS
Our 1st Pick: 2
Result: 1-3
Falkenbergs’ victory in this one meant that our prediction was spot on once again. The hosts had won 1 time drawn 3 times and lost 2 times in their overall 6 matches played at their home ground this season. Falkenbergs on the other hand having played 12 matches were at position 1 with 27 points in the 2018-Sweden Superettan. Couple this with the fact that they had won 4 times drawn 2 times and lost none in their overall 6 matches played on away ground and you get why we’d backed them for a comfortable win.
Goals by Parsson, Carlsson and Ostlind were enough to seal out the victory for the visitors while the hosts’ consolation goal was scored by Jesper Svensson.

HALMSTADS BK V AFC ESKILSTUNA
Our 1st Pick: 1
Result: 2-1
Halmstads secured a crucial home win and by doing so, they verified our pre-match prediction of a home win. There are matches in which we decided to base our prediction on gut feeling while ignoring crucial stats such as head to head records and this was one of those types of matches.
If we had considered the head to head records, we’d have backed the away team to win it as they had won the last of their 4 encounters, however, we backed the home team as they have been valiant at home having not lost any of their last 3 matches at home. With the aid of home ground’s advantage in this game their players would be motivated to go all out for a win.
Despite Zurab drawing 1st blood for the visitors, goals by Svedberg and Hoskuldur were enough to secure a memorable comeback victory for the hosts.

SANDNES ULF V AALESUNDS
Our 1st Pick: X
Result: 1-2
This match proved once again that despite all the hard stats and data, football predictions also needs a huge smile from lady luck. We had gone for a draw as our tip but it all went downhill as the hosts were reduced to 10 men with Kenyan Arnold Origi given his matching orders. Despite the visitors the better side in terms of current form, the hosts had been in solid form at home, having lost just a single game in their last 6 matches. This was the main reason as to why we predicted a share of the spoils, in retrospect, backing the in-form team would have landed us a winning ticket.
Niels Vorthoren sent the vociferous home crowd into frenzy when he pulled them ahead in and around the 49th minute but a happy ending wasn’t written in the stars. The visitors rallied and goals by Carlsen and Nattestad were enough to complete the comeback and secure maximum points.

NOTODDEN V KONGSVINGER IL
Our 1st Pick: 2
Result: 1-2
The away team secured a memorable win and thereby vindicating our decision to back them for a win despite lacking home ground advantage. Despite the hosts ahead of them in terms of table standings, the fact that the two sides had met 9 times in the past, Notodden having won 4 times and Kongsvinger IL 5 times was simply a fact that we took into consideration. Couple this with the fact that Kongsvinger came into this game after a 3 run undefeated streak and it would make sense to back them for a win.
Goals by Olav and Guven were enough to secure the victory while the hosts got their consolation goal courtesy of a Martin Brekke goal.

AASANE FOTBALL V ULLENSAKER/KISA
Our 1st Pick: X
Result: 1-5
Well, this one was a pure shocker for us as we got our predictions totally off the mark with the hosts hammering 5 goals past the hapless hosts. The two sides had met 4 times in the past, Aasane Fotball having won 2 times while Ullensaker-Kisa won 2 times as well. Their stats were pretty similar which made the result even more puzzling. The visitors came into this one looking to end their 3 match losing streak which is why we thought a draw would be the safest bet but it wasn’t to be as they ran rampant.
That’s it for another pulsating week of our sportpesa megajackpot predictions. There have been surprising results but with each failure one can only hope to learn. Here’s a tip for all our sports betting enthusiasts, sometimes stats may favor a particular team but dig deeper and trust by your gut. SPORTPESA MEGAJACKPOT POST MATCH ANALYSIS – THE BREAKDOWN

We are back at it again with our Sportpesa Mega Jackpot post-match analysis. Brace yourselves as last week’s sportpesa mega jackpot games had it all, from title winning matches to stunning comebacks. This is a special one for us as well as we finally landed a bonus pay out with 12/17 correct predictions in our 2nd picks. With this in mind, lets dive right into it, shall we?

Dunajska Streda v Slovan Bratislava

Our 1st Pick: 2

Our 2nd Pick: 2

Result: 0-1

This was a rather uneventful match in the Slovak Supa Liga. The two teams are neck to neck in terms of table standings and it really showed as both teams started off in a cagey type of manner.

The goal chances were spread thin but the visitors finally broke the deadlock in additional time of the 1st half when Vasil Bozhikov found the back of the net after some neat build up and assist courtesy of David Holman.

The second half was hotly contested but the game ended 1 nil in favor of the visitors leaving the home crowd with a bitter taste in their mouth.

We had gone for an away win as both our 1st and 2nd pick based on head to head records and it proved true.

FC Zlin v Sigma Olomouc

Our 1st Pick: 2

Our 2nd Pick: 2

Result: 1-4

They don’t come bigger than this in the Czech first league as these two rivals were pitted against each other in what turned out to be a rather one sided affair in favor of Sigma.

The visitors broke the deadlock almost immediately after kick off when Jakub found the back of the net in the 8th minute. The goal allowed the slick playing visitors to settle early on into the game. The engineered wave after wave of attack and it finally paid off in and around the 42 when Baco found the back of his own net making it 2 nil to the visitors.

The game was well and truly done by this point and two more goals from Jakub and David in the 2nd half ensured that the visitors went home with maximum points. The hosts did have something to write home about as Lukas pulled one goal back but it just wasn’t enough to turn the game around.

We had gone for an away win as both our 1st and 2nd pick based on head to head records and it proved true.

Benevento v Genoa

Our 1st Pick: 2

Our 2nd Pick: X

Result: 1-0

Benevento surprised the Italian League when they ran out victorious against an in-form Genoa side in their penultimate game of the season.

It was a really cagey match which had the ‘end of season’ feel about it as players looked a bit disinterested in the whole affair. Chances did come but they were too far and in between to warrant mentions.

It looked certain to be heading for a stalemate right until the dying minutes when Cheick Diabate broke the deadlock with just 2 minutes to go. The goal sent the home crowd into a frenzy as they bagged the bragging rights.

We had gone for an away win as our 1st pick based on current form and a draw as our 2nd based on head to head records but none proved accurate.

Middlesbrough v Aston Villa

Our 1st Pick: 2

Our 2nd Pick: 12

Result: 0-1

Mile Jedinak’s header gave Aston Villa a one-goal lead going into the home leg of their Championship play-off semi-final against Middlesbrough. Jedinak headed home Jack Grealish’s corner for the only goal, while Villa’s Robert Snodgrass struck the upright.

Boro’s best chance was a Britt Assombalonga header saved by Sam Johnstone in the first half. However, chances were at a premium and that left Villa with a precious lead to take into Tuesday’s second leg.

Villa boss Steve Bruce restored vital components of his side, such as skipper John Terry and dynamic playmaker Grealish, which gave the visitors composure and craft in equal measure.

Boro had enjoyed a hot streak in their run to the play-offs but Villa did well to quieten the threat of ex-Villa man Adama Traore and as such they largely lacked the cutting edge to break their opponents down.

Patrick Bamford’s introduction late on gave the hosts a sharper focus up front, but even he was unable to supply the firepower to cancel out the Villa lead. There was a raucous atmosphere in the rapidly-cooling temperatures at the Riverside, but Villa’s bright start and early goal punctured the optimism.

It was Villa who controlled the game, much to the visible frustration of Boro boss Tony Pulis, and Snodgrass went close to doubling Villa’s lead after concerted pressure, curling the ball toward the far corner but Darren Randolph tipped it onto the post.

Boro came out of their shells as the second half progressed but, even when they got in behind the defence, Johnstone remained largely untroubled. Pulis’ side launched their expected rally as time ticked by, buoyed by Bamford’s entrance, but Villa defended resolutely to protect their winning position.

As a play off match, the match can swing either way but we gave Villa a win as our 1st and 2nd pick based on previous head to head records despite Boro’s current form and this proved to be an accurate prediction.

Girona v Valencia

Our 1st Pick: 2

Our 2nd Pick: 2

Result: 0-1

A Luciano Vietto 61st minute goal was the only noteworthy moment in what was a labored performance by both teams.

Girona have had an exceptional season by any standards but stunning Valencia proved to be a step too far for them. The visitors had just secured champions league football for the first time in almost a decade and this could explain the party atmosphere during the match.

We had gone for an away win as both our 1st and 2nd pick based on head to head records and it proved accurate.

Real Betis v Sevilla FC

Our 1st Pick: 1

Our 2nd Pick: 12

Result: 2-2

This has to go down as arguably the match of the weekend as it had it all, from goals to crunchy tackles to glaring missed chances. The Spanish league may have been drawing to a close but these two definitely never got the memo as they went for the jugular right from kick off.

Marc Bartra broke the deadlock as early as the 5th minute sending the home crowd into ecstasy. The hosts pressed on for the elusive second but it just didn’t come as they headed into the break with a one nil lead.

Manchester United’s chief scourge in their champions league campaign, Wissam Ben Yedder drew the visitors level in the 57th minute with a peach of a goal. Simon Kjaer then pulled the visitors ahead in and around the 79th minute in what seemed like a great comeback. However, the Betis refused to go quietly into the night as Lorenzo Moron pulled the level just two minutes later to ensure that the teams shared the spoils which was fair given the general run of play.

We had gone for a home win as our first pick and a double chance as our 2nd based on head to head records between these two but the late equalizer made both predictions inaccurate.

Alaves v Athletic Bilbao

Our 1st Pick: 1

Our 2nd Pick: 1X

Result: 3-1

Bilbao’s profligacy in front of goal was duly punished as they were hammered by Alaves despite their superior shots and attempts on goal.

Alaves were as clinical as surgeons as they found the back of the net in all their 3 shots on target. Bilbao had almost 13 attempts but only one found the back of the net leaving them to rue their missed opportunities.

Goals from John Guidetti (43’) Munir El Haddadi (60’) Ibai Gómez (77′) helped the hosts race into a 3-goal lead.  Iker Muniain pulled one back for the visitors in the 79th but it was nothing more than a consolation goal.

We had gone for a home win as our 1st pick and a double chance of a home win or draw as our 2nd pick based on head to head records and both proved true

Angers v Nantes

Our 1st Pick: X

Our 2nd Pick: 12

Result: 0-2

This was as one side an encounter as they come with Nantes proving to have just too much under the hood for the hosts to handle. Notably though, Angers’ players seemed to have been on holiday mode as they just never got off the tracks.

Lucas Lima opened the scoring from a free kick with a left footed shot to the top right corner. Star player, Kalifa Coulibaly then sealed all points late on with a right footed shot from outside the box to the bottom left corner after some lovely build up play by Nicolas Pallois.

Based on head to head records, we had gone for a draw as our 1st pick with a double chance as our second which proved true.

Bologna v Chievo

Our 1st Pick: X

Our 2nd Pick: 2

Result: 1-2

Chievo picked up maximum points on the road in this feisty encounter on the penultimate day of the Italian League.

The hosts started off well and were awarded a penalty in the 12 minute which was converted by Verdi. This seemed to galvanize the opponents as they rallied for an equalizer. Their efforts were duly rewarded when Giaccherini found the back of the net in the 48th minute. Inglese put the visitors ahead 12 minutes later to mark a remarkable comeback victory as they held on for the win.

We had a draw as our 1st pick based on home ground advantage with an away win as our 2nd pick based on head to head records and this proved to be the winning prediction.

Torino v Spal

Our 1st Pick: X

Our 2nd Pick: 12

Result: 2-1

This was yet another comeback type of match with Torino having to dig deep to ensure that their home fans went home with something to cheer about.

Grassi had pulled the visitors ahead mid-way through the 1st half leaving the home crowd in a state of shock as they expected an easy win. Spall fought on valiantly to hold to their slender lead with some last-ditch tackles.

However, the home sides’ relentless pressure finally paid off as Belotti pulled them level in the 68th minute leaving room for Silvestri to bury home the winner in dramatic fashion with just 3 or so minutes to go.

We had gone for a double chance as our 2nd pick based on current form and head to head records and this proved to be accurate.

Heidenheim v Greuther Furth

Our 1st Pick: 1

Our 2nd Pick: 1

Result: 1-1

On paper, this intriguing encounter promised much but then again, matches aren’t won on paper, now are they?

The visitors drew first blood when Green found the back of the net in and around the 51 minute and it looked certain to end in favor of the visitors only for Skarke to pull the hosts level right at the end of the match to ensure that spoils were shared.

We had gone for a home win based on head to head records but none proved accurate.

Duisburg v St. Pauli

Our 1st Pick: X

Our 2nd Pick: 1

Result: 2-0

In what was a one-sided encounter, Duisburg ran out victorious with a comfortable win infront of their loyal home support.

Moritz Stoppelkamp (MSV Duisburg) headed home from very close range to the bottom right corner following a corner to pull the hosts ahead and Christian Gartner sealed the win emphatically with a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the centre of the goal.

Duisburg have been imperious at home thus our home win 2nd pick proved accurate.

West Ham v Everton

Our 1st Pick: 2

Our 2nd Pick: 1

Result: 3-1

West Ham moved up two places in the Premier League table to finish 13th after a Manuel Lanzini-inspired win over Everton in what could be the final game in charge for both managers.

Striker Marko Arnautovic’s thumping second-half goal added to playmaker Lanzini’s opener before the break and David Moyes’ men ended a turbulent campaign on a high when the Argentine curled a third past Jordan Pickford near the end.

Everton, who pulled one back through Oumar Niasse, finished eighth after 9th placed Leicesters’ defeat but some supporters chanted for manager Sam Allardyce to be sacked, as out-of-contract Moyes will also reflect on his next step.

West Ham goalkeeper Adrian made late saves to deny Niasse and Everton substitute Theo Walcott.

We had a home pick as our 2nd pick based on the current form of the hammers’ forward line and this proved to be a winning prediction.

Bohemians 1905 v Mlada Boleslav

Our 1st Pick: 1

Our 2nd Pick: 1X

Result: 1-3

In what was a thrilling encounter, Tiemoko Konaté made it (1-0) in the 27th minute for the visitors. Antonin Vanicek then made it (1-1) for the hosts with a timely equalizer.

The Visitors left it late as Matej Chalus made it (2-1) in the 85th minute before Lukas Magera sealed the win with a 3rd goal in the 87th minute.

We had gone for a home win and home win or draw as our 1st and 2nd picks respectively based on head to head records. However, the late flurry of goals nullified our predictions.

Aves v GD Chaves

Our 1st Pick: 1

Our 2nd Pick: 2

Result: 2-3

This was yet another potential pick for match of the week as both teams fought tooth and nail in search of maximum points.

The hosts kicked off on the front foot and were duly rewarded when Jorge Fellipe found the back of the net in just under 5 minutes. This prompted Chaves to respond and they went forward in search of an equalizer. Their constant pressure was rewarded in form of a penalty that was converted by Pedro Tiba in the 21st minute.

The home side responded immediately as Mama Balde put them ahead a minute later to send the home crowd into a frenzy. The visitors still had something up their sleeve as they scored two goals in a space of 4minutes right at the end of the match to win it.

We had gone for an away win as our 2nd pick based on head to head records and current form and it proved an accurate prediction.

Atalanta v AC Milan

Our 1st Pick: 1

Our 2nd Pick: 1X

Result: 1-1

A late Gianluigi Donnarumma howler allowed Atalanta to secure a last-gasp point against AC Milan in a 1-1 draw on Sunday, but the stalemate still seals Europa League football for both clubs.

Milan looked destined to take all three points from Bergamo thanks to Franck Kessie’s second-half goal against his former team in a match that saw two red cards, but Andrea Masiello headed in at the death in an incident which is likely to bring further scorn on Donnarumma after a poor showing in the Coppa Italia final against Juventus.

The away side showed nothing to suggest a win was their primary aim in the first period, offering very little going forward – Atalanta just about looking more threatening.

But Milan made the most of Atalanta’s profligacy as Kessie produced an emphatic finish from the edge of the box at his old stomping ground with half an hour to play, just before Rafael Toloi was dismissed for sarcastically applauding the referee.

Riccardo Montolivo then followed him down the tunnel for a poor tackle and, while Milan looked set to hold on, Masiello nodded in in the second minute of stoppage time, with Donnarumma making a mess of what should have been a routine save.

The result means both sides will be in the Europa League next season, but as it stands sixth-placed Milan will go straight into the group stage.

Based on current form, we had gone for an away win or draw as our 2nd pick and it proved accurate.

IFK Mariehamn v Ilves Tampere

Our 1st Pick: X

Our 2nd Pick: X

Result: 2-0

Two goals late on in each half proved to be the difference in what was a rather lacklustre match.

1 – 0 Aleksei Kangaskolkka made it 1-0 late on in the 1st half and Simon Silverholt made it 2 – 0 in the 83rd minute to ensure maximum points for the visitors and condemn the home fans to a chastening defeat.

We had gone for a draw as both our picks based on head to head records but none proved accurate.

That’s it regarding our Sportpesa Mega Jackpot post-match analysis this week and we are happy to say we landed a bonus pay out with a high of 12/17 correct predictions!!! Watch out for our sportpesa mega jackpot predictions this week.
