It is another weekend where bet slips have to be made in anticipation of winning the Mega Jackpot if not the lucrative bonuses offered. Therefore it is in our greatest interest to provide an in-depth analysis of the upcoming matches in an effort to help you come up with a winning bet slip. Below is a breakdown of the individual matches in the Mega jackpot.

AFC ESKILSTUNA vs HELSINGBORG

In Sweden’s Allsvenskan Eskilstuna meet Helsingborg in an interesting matchup, Eskilstuna is fifteenth in the league table whereas their opponents Helsingborg are fourteenth on the table with only three points separating them thus Helsingborg have eight points while their opponents have five points. Helsingborg has lost four and drawn one of their last five matches while Eskilstuna has drawn two, lost two, and won one of their last matches. In their last recent two meetings, they drew in one match and Eskilstuna won one match away from home. Statistically, Eskilstuna looks to be the better team with home advantage in this match but due to both teams’ table positioning a draw could ensue.

ALCORCON vs UD EXTREMADURA

Alcorcon will be playing Extremadura in the LaLiga 2. Alcorcon are in eleventh place with 51 points while their opponents Extremadura are in fifteenth place with 45 points with a stellar four wins and one loss in their last five matches while Alcorcon has three losses one draw and one win comparatively. Both teams have won a single match in their last two meetings where the team that was playing at home registered a win. Statistically, Extremadura looks to be the better team but the fact that Alcorcon is playing at home and are above in the table could be anyone’s match or even Steven.

ESPANYOL vs REAL SOCIEDAD

In the Spanish LaLiga ninth placed Real sociedad meet eighth placed Espanyol in a match that will definitely be tough by the mere fact that both teams have a 50 points tie. In their last five meetings the teams have registered two draws, Real sociedad winning twice and Espanyol winning once. Interestingly Espanyol have won twice, drawn twice and lost once while playing at home in comparison to Real sociedad who have won once drawn one and lost three times in their last five matches away from home. Espanyol are favorites to win in this match up in an anticipatory extension of their last home win against strongly second placed Atletico Madrid.

ELCHE vs TENERIFE

In LaLiga 2 Elche will be playing Tenerife. Elche are 12th placed on the table with 50 points while Tenerife are 17th placed on the table with 43 points. Elche are favorites to win having won four and lost only one match in their last home matches. Tenerife have only won one, lost two and drawn two of their last away matches. In the head to head statistics of the last five matches, Tenerife have won two matches in which they were at home, Elche has won one match in which they were also at home while both teams drew twice.

ALAVES vs GIRONA

Alaves will meet relegation prone Girona in the Spanish LaLiga. This will be a tough match as Girona will be looking to upset Alaves. Both teams have drawn twice in their last four meetings and Girona have won two matches. Girona are 17th placed with 37 points while Alaves are 11th placed with 47 points. Girona have lost four and won one of their last five matches away from home while Alaves have won three and drawn two of their last five matches whilst playing at home. This match has a very high chance of ending up a draw if not a Girona win as really need it and hope that Celta Vigo lose next match while overturning a six goal difference.

HUESCA vs LEGANES

This could more or less be termed as a display match considering the fact that Huesca have already been relegated, but it is very common for such teams to put on a great game as they play for the last time in the League. It is highly anticipated that 13th placed Leganes will be the favorites of this match up, as they are slots higher than bottom placed Huesca who are 20th on the table. In their most recent meeting Leganes won at home by a single goal while Huesca have only won a single match, drawn two and lost two while playing at home in their last five games. This could very likely end in a draw as no team will be highly motivated as there is nothing to play for as the LaLiga winds up.

STRASBOURG vs RENNES

This will be a match between two teams in the French Ligue 1 competition that are 11th and 12th placed consecutively on the table with at 46 points tie. The home team Strasbourg are favorites to win with their home advantage and having won two out of three matches in their last meetings with opponents Stade Rennes. Notably Strasbourg won by 4 goals to one while playing away in their last meeting in December last year. Therefore it is highly anticipated that they replicate the magnificent performance this time round with a home turf advantage. Rennes haven’t won a single match in their last five games while playing away from home.

GUINGAMP vs NIMES

Guingamp will be playing Nimes in the French Ligue 1, Guingamp have already been relegated as they are placed 20th at the bottom of the table. However they will definitely be looking to end their Ligue 1 playing time with a good performance considering the fact that they held their opponents to a goalless stalemate while they were playing away from home in their last meeting in September of last year. Nimes current form away from home doesn’t look good with only one win and four losses in their last five matches. Therefore this match could likely go Guingamp’s way or a draw.

PERTH GLORY vs SYDNEY FC

In the Australian League playoffs Perth glory who drew 3-3 and won 5-4 on a penalty shoot out to Adelaide united in the semifinal of the playoffs will be meeting Sydney Fc who thrashed Melbourne victory a whooping six goals to one in their semifinal of the play offs. However Perth Glory’s  have won four and lost one of their last five matches in comparison to Sydney fc who have won two, Lost two and drawn once in their last five matches. In the head to head statistics Sydney fc seem to be the favorites having won 11 out of 12 matches they have played against Perth Glory who have only won one match.

EMOPLI vs TORINO

This will be an interesting clash in the Italian Serie A. It will be the second last match for both teams and it is quite significant to both teams because Empoli are 18th on the table with 35 points and facing relegation. A win for them could mathematically put them away from relegation assuming Genoa and Udinese lose or draw in their upcoming matches. On the other hand Torino are 7th placed on the table with 60 points. Mathematically if they win this game and the last one assuming Atalanta Milan and Roma lose or draw in their upcoming matches they could as well finish in fourth place. Even though Torino are favorites to win Empoli will definitely unleash their full capacity in order to avoid relegation. Torino have won once and both teams have drawn twice in their las three meetings.

PARMA FC vs FIORENTINA

Fifteenth placed Parma fc will be facing Fourteenth placed Fiorentina in the Italian Serie A. Parma fc have 38 points while Fiorentina have 40 points. In their recent two meetings Parma fc have won once away from home while both teams drew in the second match. Parma’s recent home form is one win, one draw and one loss, While Fiorentina have lost four matches and drawn one. Statistically Parma look to be the favorites with a home advantage.

CADIZ FC vs OSASUNA

This will be a match in the LaLiga 2 that will feature Cadiz fc who are at the top of the table with 77 points versus 6th placed Osasuna with 62 points. In their last four meetings Osasuna have won three matches while Cadiz fc managed to bag only one win. Cadiz have four draws and one win in their last five matches at home in comparison to their opponents Osasuna who have two wins, two draws and one win in their last five matches away from home. Osasuna look to be the favorites in this match although Cadiz fc have the home advantage.

FC ROSTOV vs ZENIT ST PETERSBURG

In the Russian league 8th placed Rostov who have 38 points meet League leaders Zenit st Petersburg who have 61 points. In their last five meetings Zenit have won two matches, Rostov have won once and both teams have registered a draw in two matches. Zenit are clearly the favorites having beat Rostov away from home in January by five goals to nil, even though they have won two games and drawn three in their last five matches away from home. As compared to Rostov who have won two games, drawn two games and lost one game in their last five home games.

LUGO vs DEPORTIVO LA CORUNA

Eighteenth placed Lugo who are fighting for relegation in LaLiga 2 face seventh placed Deportivo La coruna who have 61 points. Lugo have 41 points. In their recent two meetings both teams drew once and Deportivo La coruna won once. Lugo have two wins, two losses and one draw in their last five home matches, while Deportivo La coruna have three wins, one draw and one loss in their last five away matches. It will be a tough match even though Deportivo La coruna are the favorites.

CORDOBA vs GIMNASTIC TARRAGONA

These are two teams in the LaLIga 2 that both face relegation with a point apart. There won’t be much to fight for in this game although Gimnastic have won three matches as compared to Cordoba who have won two of their last five meetings. Gimnastic have registered a poor away form having lost all five of the recent away games. Which gives an upper hand to Cordoba who have recently won two and lost three of their home matches.

JUVENTUS vs ATALANTA

Italy’s Serie A League leaders Juventus will face fourth place Atalanta who are only one point away from third placed Inter. Therefore Atalanta will be going into this match with a winning mentality in order to go above inter on the table as the season is almost over. Juventus will most likely be relaxed as this match just looks like a formality to them as they have already won the title. This match could easily end in a draw or a win for either Juventus or Atalanta.

NAPOLI vs INTER

Second placed Napoli meet third place Inter with a ten point difference between them as the Italian serie A comes close to an end. The difference in points suggest that it won’t be a highly contested match, but Napoli are clearly the favorites in this match but Inter are clearly under pressure from Atalanta who are a point below them. Therefore they will be highly motivated to maintain their third place position. This is a match that could go anyways, thus a win for either teams or a draw as they inch closer to the end of the season.

SUMMARY OF WHY WE MISSED THE BONUS

• Kansas came from 2-0 down to equalize in extra time

Barrow v Dover
Result: 0-0
Our pick: X or 12
Relegation-threatened Barrow now remain without a home win since October 2017 after being held to a goalless draw at Holker Street by play-off hopefuls Dover during their thrilling match over the weekend. There was a plethora of chances in the first half. Barrow felt hard done as they thought they should have had a penalty 10 minutes before the break when Nottingham Forest loanee Lewis Walters was felled in the Dover box but the man in the middle, waved play on.
The hosts went close in the 56th minute as Calum Macdonald watched Mitch Walker tip his pin-point accurate free-kick onto the cross-bar and out for a corner. Seventh-placed Dover scrambled in pursuit of a late winner but had to settle for a share of the spoils and they now just sit five points above AFC Fylde in the table.
We had gone for draw as our 1st pick as Barrow had been on a 6-month winless at home streak and hence a point was what we saw as the best possible outcome.

Dagenham v AFC Flyde
Result: 2-0
Our pick: 12 or 2
Dagenham & Redbridge finally got back to winning ways in the exciting National League with a well-deserved victory at home to AFC Fylde. Danny Rowe hit the woodwork for Fylde midway through the first half before Chike Kandi broke the deadlock with his first ever goal for Daggers. The forward fired the ball into the roof of the net after 33 minutes after some exemplary work from Fejiri Okenabirhie and Ben Nunn.
The hosts doubled their advantage as the half drew to a close when Dan Sparkes teed up Mason Bloomfield for the goal that laid the contest to bed. Daggers forward Bloomfield could have made the victory even more emphatic but he headed inches over on the hour mark after a fine delivery from Kandi.
Fylde remain just outside the play-off places while Dagenham are comfortable in mid-table after ending a two-game losing streak.
We had gone for a double chance or an away win based on the history records between these two. Needless to say, the double chance is what ended up as the winner.

Halifax v Solihull Moors
Result: 0-0
Our pick: X or 12
FC Halifax missed the chance to further extend the gap between themselves and fourth-bottom Solihull as they held on to a 0-0 draw at the Shay. Mike Fondop-Talom missed the home side’s best chances, with the striker sent clean through in the first half after a slip by Fiacre Kelleher. The 24-year-old had time and space inside the box but ended up skying his shot.
Things got worse for the Guiseley loanee when he went down while rounding Solihull goalkeeper Max O’Leary only to be booked for simulation. Matthew Brown came agonisingly close to opening the scoring for Halifax in the second half as his 70th-minute header hit a post. Both keepers pulled off heroics in the closing stages. Sam Johnson made a point-blank save to keep out George Carline’s headed effort, before O’Leary denied Fondop-Talom again five minutes from time.
We had gone for a draw based on current form as well as a double chance as our 2nd pick and had the 24-year-old not scuffed his chances that pick would have materialized as well. Either way our pick was spot on.

MK Dons v Blackpool
Result: 0-0
Our pick: 2 or 12
MK Dons failed to lift themselves out of the Sky Bet League One relegation zone after their 0-0 draw with Blackpool left them a point from safety. A victory on Saturday would have seen them move out of the drop zone but MK could not find a winner despite going close late on through Ike Ugbo and former gunner, Chuks Aneke.
The visitors were the first to threaten when Kyle Vassell, nephew of English legend Darius Vassell fired a powerful left-footed drive into the gloves of MK keeper Lee Nicholls, before Dons striker Aneke went close at the other end. Substitute Robbie Muirhead wasted no time in testing Blackpool stopper Joe Lumley when he fired a powerful left-footed drive towards goal. Ugbo should have done better late on after Aneke’s lay-off inside the Blackpool box allowed the youngster a strike at goal, but his timid left-footed effort was well blocked.
Gary Bowyer’s side almost snatched a surprise winner at the death when Sean Longstaff’s effort hit the crossbar, but both sides were forced to share the points.
We were off on this one but a close look at the match highlights will show just how close we were to getting an outright match winner.

Charlton v Plymouth
Result: 2-0
Our pick: 12 or 1
Early goals from Lewis Page and Michal Zyro ensured Lee Bowyer made a winning start as Charlton’s new caretaker manager with a triumph over Plymouth. Bowyer was put in temporary charge this week following Karl Robinson’s switch to Oxford and made an instant impact by sealing a vital victory which moves the Londoners to within two points of play-off rivals Argyle.
The Addicks almost made the perfect start in the opening minute when Nicky Ajose cleverly fed Zyro, who was only thwarted by Gary Sawyer’s challenge inside the box. But they did not have long to wait to get their noses in front, with Page unleashing a third-minute volley from 20 yards which flew past visiting keeper Remi Matthews.
Tariqe Fosu burst through on goal only to fire straight at Matthews, although Plymouth should have been level on the quarter hour when Ryan Taylor’s low drive was tipped onto a post by Ben Amos. Two minutes later the hosts doubled their advantage as Zyro headed home from Joe Aribo’s delivery. Matthews was fortunate to escape unpunished after coming outside of his area and catching the ball. Graham Carey curled an effort inches wide of the far post and also placed a free-kick off target as Plymouth tried to get back in contention. But it was almost 3-0 on the stroke of half-time when Ajose almost volleyed in a stunning effort which was well saved by Matthews.
Fosu placed a curler agonizingly wide and Jake Forster-Caskey tried his luck from outside of the box. Fosu hit the side-netting from a tight angle, while Matthews had to be alert to push Ajose’s shot behind at the expense of a corner as Charlton continued to push forward. Carey was unlucky to see a long-range effort just dip over the bar on 77 minutes. Zyro came close at the other end with a pair of attempts which both flew wide. But the Addicks had already done more enough earlier in the game to ensure they emerged from this must-win game with all three points to keep their play-off ambitions alive.
We got this one right following our 3rd pick in which we gave the hosts an outside chance of a surprising win due to the simple fact that they had a new manager and we anticipated that this had the potential to have a galvanizing and positive effect on the entire squad.

Crawley Town v Cheltenham
Result: 3-5
Our pick: X or 1
This has to go down as the match of the weekend. It was as thrilling encounter with Mohamed Eisa equaling a Cheltenham club record of 20 league goals in his debut season with a brace as the Robins ran out 5-3 winners at Crawley.
Crawley’s play-off hopes have faltered in recent weeks and they are now without a win in five games. The Reds, with only two home defeats since mid-October, found themselves 2-0 down after only 12 minutes with Harry Pell bagging both of them. Pell, returning from suspension, ran through to put Cheltenham ahead on seven minutes with a shot from the edge of the area which flew into the top corner.
Eisa was then pulled down inside the area by Josh Yorwerth and Pell, after seeing his penalty saved by keeper Glenn Morris, followed up to bundle home the rebound. Cheltenham skipper Carl Winchester shot over with only Morris to beat but Crawley’s nightmare first half continued after 36 minutes when Eisa latched onto a long ball to coolly steer home from close range. He pounced to hit Cheltenham’s fourth two minutes after the break with a shot from a tight angle, and Karlan Ahearne-Grant pulled one back for Crawley on 51 minutes with his eighth goal in nine games. Defender Will Boyle got in on the act to make it 5-1 for the Robins two minutes later, rising unchallenged to head home Jake Andrews’ corner.
Crawleys’ Spirited late pressure was rewarded as striker Panutche Camara headed Crawley’s second from a cross by Lewis Young 16 minutes from time and defender Young made it 5-3 after keeper Scott Flinders could only parry Camara’s shot onto his path.
We had pegged a home win or draw as the best possible outcome and readily accept that we were off the mark on this one. Going on past records as well as current form we just couldn’t foresee those quick fire early goals from the visitors that set the tone for the entire match.

Stevenage v Colchester
Result: 0-1
Our pick: 12 or X
Dino Maamria’s first game in charge of Stevenage ended in defeat after Colchester United claimed a 1-0 victory at the Lamex Stadium. Mikael Mandron’s well-taken first-half strike gave the visitors their first victory in six matches and extended the hosts’ winless run to four games.
Colchester grabbed the 27th-minute winner through Mandron, who expertly turned home Kane Vincent-Young’s cross into a crowded area to give the visitors the lead. Szmodics almost made it 2-0 when he drove a low shot inches wide of the far post and Mandron’s near post header was gathered by Stevenage keeper Tom King as Colchester deservedly went in ahead at half-time.
2nd half Stevenage substitute Luke Amos’ half-volley from 25 yards flashed just wide but Colchester held on to claim a narrow win.
We got it right with our double chance pick but a draw seemed the most likely outcome as the visitors came into this one on a 6-match winless run while the hosts hadn’t faired any better in terms of previous results. It was a tight encounter to say the least.

Exeter v Swindon Town
Result: 3-1
Our pick: 1 or X
In another serious contender for ‘match of the weekend’, Exeter City dramatically came from behind to record a vital 3-1 win over Swindon Town in the race for promotion places from League Two. City got off to a slow start and deservedly fell behind but hit back to lead 2-1 before half-time and, after keeping Swindon at arm’s length for the majority of the second half, they sealed the win late on.
The Grecians made two changes from the side that beat Port Vale as Matt Jay came in for Ryan Harley and Craig Woodman replaced Liam McAlinden – the biggest talking point, however, was that the side lined up in a daring 3-5-2 formation.
The game really burst into life in the 27th minute when Swindon took the lead as Ben Purkiss’ cross found Timi Elsnik, who did well to bring the ball down six yards out from goal – he was tackled by Sweeney but the ball broke to Woolery, who finished from 10 yards.
City then thought they had equalized in the 30th minute when Jay did brilliantly to bring down a cross and work it in behind the defense before chipping it across goal towards Stockley, who headed home, only for referee Lee Collins to disallow the goal for an infringement that was not entirely clear. They did not have to wait too much longer to get back into the game as they equalized in the 33rd minute when Boateng beat his man before sending in a cross towards the back post that eventually broke to Jake Taylor, who fired the ball into the roof of the net.
It was all City at this point and keeper Stuart Moore was forced into a save when Jake Taylor pulled a ball out wide to Boateng, who sent in a fine cross to Stockley, but the striker could not get enough power on his header and it bounced into the keeper’s arms.
After a period of pressure, City took the lead in the 44th minute when Dean Moxey was tripped by Matty Taylor in the box, allowing Pierce Sweeney the chance to give the Grecians the lead from the penalty spot, and that was exactly what the defender did, burying the ball into the bottom corner past the dive of Moore to put City 2-1 ahead at half-time. The Grecians sealed the win in the 87th minute when Taylor played a fine lofted ball into the channel for Boateng to run onto, and he brought the ball down well before squaring to Stockley, who took a touch before firing in from close range – the striker was clearly delighted with the goal, celebrating by cupping his ears in front of the visiting fans having taken some verbals from them throughout the second half.
It was just reward for City after the way they closed the game out in the second half, and they move four points off third place with a game in hand – they next face a trip to play-off chasing Lincoln City on Good Friday.
We had gone for a home win as our first pick as with a promotion spot in their sights, we felt that Exeter would have that extra impetus to go for the jugular on this one.

Lugo v Valladolid
Result: 0-0
Our pick: X or 12
This was a dull affair as both teams seemed content to settle for a point. The hosts were however the most adventurous of the two and game close to grabbing all 3 points early on in the second half.
However, the match took a turn for the worse when Luis Ruiz was sent off in and around the 67th minute leaving the hosts to fight it out a man less for the rest of the match. Valladoid duly piled on the pressure after attaining numerical advantage but the hosts bravely held on to secure what is definitely a crucial point in the grand scheme of things.
We had gone for a draw or double chance as with both teams with nothing to play for at the tail end of the season, a drub stalemate seemed the most probable outcome and so it was.

Sweden v Chile
Result: 1-2
Our pick: 12 or X
Marcos Bolados came off the bench to score a late winner on his international debut as Chile earned a 2-1 friendly victory in Sweden on Sunday. The match appeared to be drifting towards a draw but 22-year-old Bolados tucked in the rebound after Kristoffer Nordfeldt saved from Alexis Sanchez.
Chile took the lead in the 22nd minute, Arturo Vidal smashing a powerful volley into the roof of the net from the edge of the box after Sweden failed to clear a corner. But within a minute Sweden drew level with a superbly crafted goal, Ola Toivonen lashing in an immediate response for the host after Viktor Claesson touched Emil Forsberg’s pass into his path.
Manchester United forward Sanchez had a goal correctly ruled out for offside and Sebastian Larsson whipped a 30-yard free-kick over the angle, while Chile substitute Nicolas Castillo rifled a pair of late shots straight at Nordfeldt in the second half.
Up until the last minute, Sanchez had failed to record a shot on target in an ineffective display but the Chile captain was involved in his side’s winner, Nordfeldt only able to parry a tame effort into the danger zone for Bolados to record a dream debut.
We had gone for a draw or double chance in this one as Sweden came into this one with a ruthless defensive record having eliminated Italy from the fast-approaching world cup in Russia. Chile on the other hand were on a winless run with their star-man Sanchez looking a bit out of sorts after his move to Manchester united in the January Transfer window. Our 1st pick of a draw seemed certain until the very last minutes when the debutant Bolados scored the winner and thus making our 2nd pick the winning one.

New England Rev v New York City
Result: 2-2
Our pick: 1 or X
Over in the ever-growing major league soccer in the USA, Ismael Tajouri hit a second-half brace in the second start of his MLS career as a short-handed New York City side twice came from a goal down to earn a well-deserved 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon.
Tajouri now has three goals in two games when filling in for star forward David Villa, who remained out Saturday with a calf injury. That was only the star of the absentee list for NYCFC, which remained unbeaten this season despite playing without Alexander Ring, Ronald Matarrita and Rodney Wallace.
Diego gave New England the lead early in the first half, Tajouri found space and got in position to be the finisher of a tremendous team counter-attacking goal six minutes after halftime. Juan Agudelo gave the hosts the lead again, only for Tajouri to take Yangel Herrera’s pass and hammer home his second of the day with 15 minutes remaining.
With honorable mention to some of New England’s missed chances in the first half, Tajouri’s first goal was as pretty a counterattack as you will see on the planet, let alone in an MLS fixture.
We had a draw as one of our picks as we felt that without their star man, David Villa, the visitors would struggle for goals. Tajouri filled in the shoes to much aplomb and helped the visitors to grab a crucial point.

Israel v Romania
Result: 1-2
Our pick: X or 2
This has to go down as surprising result as these two teams had registered 1-0 results over a seven-year span. However, this fact shouldn’t take away what was a thrilling match to say the least. Right from kick-off chances came flying in for both sides and were it not from some exemplary goal keeping from both ends, we could a witnessed a cricket score.
The hosts broke the deadlock midway through the 2nd half with a sublime chip, sending the home fans into wild celebrations. The hosts went on to create numerous chances but just couldn’t find a way to the back of the net. Romania rallied late on and finally got the equalizer they deserved via long range shot that is a serious contender for goal of the weekend. It was double trouble for the hosts as the visitors launched a lethal counter offensive down the left-hand flank to set their striker clean through on goal. He duly chipped the keeper to give the visitors the lead for the first time in the match.
The hosts did create two open goal chances in addition time but only had themselves as they went for the spectacular with over head kicks when a simple shot would have most likely gifted them a draw.
Going by previous records, we had gone for a stalemate but threw in an away win primarily due to their experience when it came to international matches. This is definitely one match highlights video we are sure you will enjoy.

Sporting Gijon v Rayo Vallecano
Result: 1-0
Our pick: 1 or 12
Rayo Vallecano are in the 1st position of Segunda División and in contention for Promotion while Sporting Gijón are in the 3rd position of Segunda División and in contention for Promotion Play-off. This was top of the table clash with the hosts coming into it on the back of a 7-match unbeaten run. It was as tight an encounter as they come and the host got the 3 points via an own goal from Gorka Elustondo.
Going by the hosts’ hot run of form, we just couldn’t see a way past a home win and we can proudly say we got it spot on in this feisty top of the table clash.

Colorado Rapids v Sporting Kansas City
Result: 2-2
Our pick: 1 or 12
Sporting Kansas City rallied from two goals down on the road in a 2-2 draw at the Colorado Rapids on Saturday. Felipe Gutierrez scored his League-leading fourth goal of the season and second-half substitute Diego Rubio capped the comeback with the game-tying goal in stoppage time to keep Sporting KC atop the Western Conference standings.
The Rapids, playing the club’s MLS home opener after a pair of byes in the first three weeks of the regular season, looked to be in full control of the match inside the first 10 minutes as Sporting Kansas City surrendered two goals in short succession.
Dominique Badji opened the scoring in the fifth minute, volleying home an Edgar Castillo cross for his 18th goal in four seasons since being taken in the fourth round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. Just over three minutes later, the Rapids doubled their lead as Joe Mason raced onto a ball over the top from New Zealand international Tommy Smith. Mason, making his MLS debut, held off Sporting KC captain Matt Besler and did well to find the back of the net under additional pressure from Tim Melia.
The clinical finishing from the two Colorado forwards, and the ensuing defensive response from Sporting KC, proved to be the difference during a match in which the Rapids capitalized on the team’s only two shots on goal. On the opposite end, longtime U.S. MNT goalkeeper Tim Howard was at his best with seven saves, his most since returning to Major League Soccer, including three superb stops on both sides of halftime.
Sporting Kansas City would find the breakthrough goal in the 57th minute, not long after Badji was on the brink of stretching the Rapids lead to 3-0 with an uncontested header at the back post. Instead, it was Gutierrez cutting Sporting KC’s deficit in half as the Chilean continues his introduction to MLS with goals in three straight games. Roger Espinoza started the attacking sequence with a pinpoint pass to Croizet, whose powerful header struck the near post and rebounded to the penalty spot. Gutierrez was first to the loose ball and laced a left-footed strike in stride to spark the second-half rally.
Gutierrez then nearly pulled Sporting KC level on two separate occasions. In the 75th minute, the Designated Player showed off sublime skill, lifting the ball over Danny Wilson with his first touch and firing a half-volley with his second touch that Howard dove low to his left to palm away. In the 81st minute, Graham Zusi’s corner kick fell to Gutierrez inside the six-yard box but Howard stood tall to keep out Gutierrez’s acrobatic attempt.
Sporting Kansas City’s pursuit of an equalizer would deliver drama in stoppage time but not first without a near dagger from the right foot of Jack Price. The Rapids midfielder fired a free kick from 22 yards out that glanced off the gloves of Melia and into the crossbar to keep the score line at 2-1 entering five minutes of added time.
Thirty seconds later, Rubio, who had entered the match in the 88th minute, rescued a road result for Sporting Kansas City on an intricately-worked build-up inside the penalty area. Shelton, after receiving the ball from Gerso Fernandes and surrounded by three Colorado players, rolled a pass backwards for Rubio to collect on the overlapping run and place into the bottom corner to stun the Rapids.
What can we say, we seemed to have been spot on in this one with two rapid goals by the hosts but the Tim Howard effect was one we overlooked and the inform visitors rallied to make a stunning comeback and get a share of the spoils at the very last minute…sema kutolewa last minute.

Venezia v Cittadella
Result: 2-1
Our pick: 1 or X
Alexandre Geijo scored the winner for the hosts in and around the 73rd minute in what was a hotly contested match. The hosts had landed the first blow in the 29th minute via Gianluca Viterri and went into the break seemingly comfortable.
However, the visitors refused to go quietly into the dying of the light and they mounted a rally that resulted in their equalizer courtesy of Andrea Arrighini in the 63rd minute. This prompted the hosts, backed by a vociferous home crowd and duly landed a winner in the last quarter of the match.
Based on current home form head to head records between these 2, we had gone for a home win or draw and we got it right in our 1st pick.

Barcelona B v Ossasuna
Result: 0-2
Our pick: X or 2
Ossasuna went against all odds to secure a well deserved away win. None of the bookies had given them a chance as they had been on a lacklustre run of form. They however dispatched they’re naysayers with a professional performance in which they scored in the 7th and 76th minute respectively to see off the much-fancied Barcelona B team on Sunday.
We decided to rely on the head to head records on this one and couldn’t see Barcelona B getting more than a point as Ossasuna had the upper hand in terms of experience hence our decision to back them for a win against all odds.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGVkRypUcSw

Cesena v Perugia
Result: 1-1
Our pick: 2 or X
This was yet another drub affair with chances coming far and in between. The hosts scored the opener early on in the 2nd half only for Perugia to nick an equalizer with under 20 minutes to go. The hosts did make a late rally to try and seal a deserved home victory but they were just too timid in front of goal and the draw could be deemed a fair result in the grand scheme of things.
We had gone for an away win based on current form as well as previous head to head records but it wasn’t to be and our 2nd pick of a draw ended up the correct one.

Week 35 Post MJP Analysis

SPORTPESA MEGAJACKPOT, POST-MATCH ANALYSIS – THE BREAKDOWN.

Welcome to yet another Sportpesa Megajackpot Post-Match Analysis. We managed to get 6/17 correct predictions which was our worst ever performance since we started analysing the mega . There were close calls and red cards that threw some of the games off not to mentioning simply shocking results but in the end; we like to take on any loss as a challenge to do better. We may have had our poorest performance ever in the last week but this has only spurred as to dig even deeper to ensure that we bounce back in a huge way in this week’s sportpesa megajackpot. With that in mind, below is the breakdown of the results as well as an in depth look of our research methodology in the hopes that with each loss we all gain a lesson that could potentially set us on our way back to the Sportpesa Megajackpot Bonus promised land once again in the coming week.

West Ham v Wolves

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 0-1

A 92nd minute goal was all that separated these two exciting English premier league teams. The hammers came into this one with zero points from the 1st 3 games and Pellegrini was under pressure. This could explain why the match ended up being a rather cagey affair.

In what was a tight affair, the hosts were heading for their first point of the season but Traore capitalized on Carlos Sanchez’s error in the third minute of injury time to hand Nuno Espirito Santo’s side their first top-flight win since beating QPR in February 2012.

We had gone for a home win based on historical records which gave the home side an upper hand as well as the fact that the Hammers needed the points more but it proved inaccurate.

Sheffield Utd v Aston Villa

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 4-1

Sheffield United demolished sorry Aston Villa as a devastating first-half performance set them on their way to a fourth successive victory.

Goals by Jack O’Connell, Oliver Norwood, Mark Duffy and Billy Sharp earned Chris Wilder’s rampant team a 4-1 Championship win at Bramall Lane.

The Blades took a sixth-minute lead when O’Connell headed home Norwood’s free-kick on his 100th start for the club.

Norwood hit a post soon after, but Duffy doubled the lead with a 25-yard strike after getting the better of John McGinn on halfway in the 23rd minute.

He was influential all half and he scored his first goal for the club four minutes before the break when his free-kick caught out Villa goalkeeper Orjan Nyland at his near post. Captain Billy Sharp made it four in the 49th minute from Kieron Freeman’s ball into the box.

Anwar El Ghazi pulled one back for Villa in the 61st minute, slotting home after some neat play, but there was no cause for celebration for the visitors.

The mood surrounding the two camps in the build-up to the game had been markedly different.

Three consecutive wins, including a comprehensive 3-0 success at Bolton last weekend, had seen United accelerate up the table, adding to the feelgood factor at the club.

Villa, in contrast, arrived in South Yorkshire days after being booed off after their Carabao Cup defeat by Burton.

That had followed three straight draws in the league, with manager Steve Bruce forced to deny talk of a crisis.

We had gone for a home win based on current form and this proved to be an accurate prediction.

Coventry v Rochdale

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 0-1

Calvin Andrew’s close-range strike just after the interval was enough for Rochdale to claim victory and leapfrog Coventry in the League One table.

Rochdale started menacingly, with Sky Blues goalkeeper Lee Burge tipping over a rasping 20-yard effort from Callum Camps before diving to deny Stephen Dooley.

City looked the brighter side for the rest of the half but failed to stretch visiting keeper Magnus Norman.

We had gone for an away win based on previous head to head records and despite the hosts rallying for an equalizer, it proved to be an accurate prediction.

Walsall v Blackpool

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 0-0

Walsall maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a dull 0-0 stalemate at home to manager less draw specialists Blackpool.

It was the Seasiders’ fourth draw in six League One games and their third consecutive goalless league draw on the road.

Walsall nearly led after 23 minutes as Zeli Ismail’s 20-yard free-kick whistled just over but Blackpool went even closer six minutes later as Curtis Tilt’s header was cleared off the line by George Dobson.

Blackpool controlled the game but Rangers loanee Joe Dodoo’s 25-yard free-kick flew inches over and Jay Spearing’s rocket from a similar distance was foiled by Walsall keeper Liam Roberts.

Walsall had a great chance to win it a minute from time but Kane Wilson sent a free header wide from Luke Leahy’s corner.

Blackpool thought they had won it heading into stoppage time as Nathan Delfouneso latched onto Feeney’s pass to round Roberts and slot home but the flag was up for offside.

We had gone for an away win based on current form and we thought we had it in the back when Nathan scored in stoppage time but it wasn’t to be as the goal was disallowed.

Wycombe V Luton

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 1-1

Matty Pearson earned Luton a point in a 1-1 draw that will go down as a tale of two penalties where Wycombe’s Joe Jacobson scored one and missed another.

The Hatters had never lost at Adams Park but that record looked in severe danger during the first half, with Wycombe taking the lead when Sonny Bradley clumsily fouled Matt Bloomfield in the area 15 minutes in, allowing Jacobson to convert.

More drama unfolded around the hour mark when Luton striker James Collins handled in his own area.

Referee Darren England pointed to the spot and with Collins booked during fierce protests from Hatters players and Jacobson lining up to take the kick, fourth official Stuart Burt called England over, who then had words with Luton boss Nathan Jones.

Then, after the lengthy delay, Jacobson missed the chance to double Wycombe’s lead as he was denied by visiting keeper James Shea.

‪His opposite number Ryan Allsop fared far poorer in the 68th minute when was unable to prevent Pearson heading home for the equalizer, but he did preserve a point with two crucial late saves in a pulsating finale.

We had gone for a home win based historical data and current form but it proved innacurate as the teams played out a pulsating draw.

Hull City v Derby

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 1-2

A late goal from Florian Jozefzoon gave the Rams a 2-1 victory over Hull City in their Sky Bet Championship clash at the KCOM Stadium.

The summer signing from Brentford struck in the 88th minute with his first league goal for the Rams, having opened his account for the club in Tuesday night’s 4-0 Carabao Cup second round win against the same opponents.

Martyn Waghorn had earlier done likewise by opening the scoring from the penalty spot midway through the first half.

Todd Kane, on loan from Chelsea, equalized for the Tigers after 53 minutes but Frank Lampard’s men claimed a fourth successive victory in all competitions.

Their third league win on the trot lifted them to fourth in the table after six games, only two points behind leaders Leeds United, going into the international break.

We had gone for an away win based on current form as well as recent head to head meetings and it proved to be an accurate prediction.

Reading v Sheffield Wed

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 1-2

Reading remain winless in the Championship after six matches this season following a 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday at Madejski Stadium.

Wednesday dominated much of the first half and went ahead early on when midfielder Adam Reach finished off an excellent team move.

They increased their lead just 15 seconds after half-time when Lucas Joao drove in his third goal in two games.

Although Reading did reduce the gap in the 64th minute, through a Liam Moore header, Wednesday held on relatively comfortably.

Reading had lost their opening three matches of the season but had improved in their previous two games to secure draws at Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa.

Wednesday had won their past two outings, with 2-1 home victories against Millwall and Ipswich.

Both sides went out of the Carabao Cup second round in midweek, losing 2-0 at home to Premier League sides Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively.

Reading began brightly only for Yakou Meite to blaze over the crossbar after he had created the space for a 20-yard shot.

Wednesday replied when Joao took advantage of a Chris Gunter error and tested Vito Mannone with a long-range drive, which the home goalkeeper tipped over.

It was a sign of Wednesday’s early enterprise and they were rewarded for that when they went ahead in the 12th minute. Intricate approach play around the Reading area ended with Reach guiding home a left-footed effort from just inside the box.

Reading responded positively, with Meite missing out on a goal chance when showing poor control from a Gunter cross.

Sam Baldock was guilty of the same after Andy Yiadom had lobbed a high ball over the out-of-position Wednesday defenders.

On the half-hour mark, Reading should have equalized. Leandro Bacuna slung over a corner from the right but David Meyler, rising unmarked, could only glance a header narrowly past the far post.

Mo Barrow should also have done better when wriggling through the Wednesday cover. But he delayed his attempt too long and allowed keeper Cameron Dawson to make a smothering save.

Reading left the pitch at half-time to a few boos from their disgruntled fans. And there was more jeering when Wednesday increased their lead just 15 seconds into the second period.

Joao ran in unchallenged from the left and curled in an elegant effort past the despairing dive of Mannone.

The teams then traded punches, with Dawson saving a Bacuna free kick and Mannone keeping out a fierce attempt from Atdhe Nuhiu.

But Dawson was powerless to prevent Reading from cutting the deficit when home skipper Moore nodded home from Bacuna’s corner.

Reading rallied towards the end but Wednesday held on resolutely for a third successive league victory.

We had gone for an away win based on current form and it proved an accurate prediction.

Shrewsbury v Bristol Rovers

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 1-1`

Shrewsbury are still seeking their first League One win of the season following a 1-1 draw with 10-man Bristol Rovers.

Former Shrewsbury striker Stefan Payne fired Rovers ahead from the penalty spot early in the second half.

Rovers had Joe Martin sent off before Shrewsbury equalized as Shaun Whalley’s cross was turned into his own net by visiting defender Daniel Leadbitter.

Shrewsbury had the better of a goalless first half, with Ollie Norburn’s 25-yard drive well saved by Jack Bonham.

The Rovers goalkeeper then stopped a header from Omar Beckles after the defender was picked out by a Whalley corner.

Shrewsbury had the first opportunity of the second half when Josh Laurent’s shot on the turn was gathered by Bonham.

Rovers took the lead in the 53rd minute, Payne converting from the penalty spot after Luke Waterfall brought down Ollie Clarke.

Rovers were reduced to 10 men just before the hour-mark when left-back Martin was dismissed for a second bookable offence.

Shrewsbury pushed for an equaliser and, after Beckles headed narrowly wide, it came in the 71st minute as Whalley’s low cross from the right was diverted into his own net by Leadbitter.

Norburn twice went close to scoring a winner for the home side as the points were shared.

We had gone for an away win based on h2h records but the red card early on the second half was one we never saw coming and it consequently negated our prediction.

Krasnodar v L. Moscow

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 2-1

A stoppage time winner by Suleymanov was enough to ensure that our prediction of a home win was spot on.

The visitors started off well and duly got rewarded when they won a penalty which was duly converted by Manuel in the 33rd minute. However, the hosts responded almost immediately and got their equaliser courtesy of a Campos goal just 6 minutes later.

Suleymanov then stepped up and won the game for his team at the very end of the match leaving the traveling fans with a bitter taste in their mouth.

Angers v Lille

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 1-0

A 64th minute Traore goal was all that separated these two Ligue 1 teams by the end of regulation time in what was a rather feisty affair.

The hosts limited the visitors to very few chances and they were willing to employ underhand and physical tactics to ensure that no quarter was given. Just minutes after Traore had pulled them ahead, Thomas Mangani was sent off forcing the hosts to see out the remaining 25 or so minutes with 10 men.

Lille tried to make the numerical advantage count but the hosts defended valiantly and saw out the victory in emphatic form.

We had gone for an away win based on h2h records and had Lille capitalized on their chances, this would have been a totally different score line but it just wasn’t to be as it ended against us.

Reims v Montpellier

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 0-1

An Ambroise Oyongo 77th minute goal was enough to ensure that the visitors came away with maximum points as well as ensuring our prediction of an away win was an accurate one.

Chances were far and in between in this Ligue 1 encounter as both teams set up defensively with one eye on not leaving room for a defeat which could explain why it ended up as a rather cagey and forgettable match.

We based our pick on h2h records and current form and it proved true.

Strasbourg v Nantes

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 2-3

This was yet another match that threw all the form books and stats out the window as the visitors registered a convincing win against their much fancied rivals in the French Ligue 1.

The hosts drew 1st blood in and around the 24th minute courtesy of a Ludovic goal but that only served to rally the visitors who came back swinging. A Mitrovic own goal drew them level and Lucas Evangelista pulled them ahead right at the stroke of half time making it 2-1.

The visitors started the 2nd half in similar fashion and they were duly rewarded when Emiliano Salaa made it 3-1 at the hour mark. The hosts did get a second goal with around 10 minutes to go but Nantes held on for a memorable victory in what was a 5 goal thriller.

We had gone for a home win based on current form but it proved inaccurate.

Ipswich v Norwich

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 1-1

Ipswich Town were denied a first win of the season – and their first victory over Norwich City for nine and a half years – by Moritz Leitner’s maiden goal for his new club on Sunday.

Ipswich opened the scoring thanks to Gwion Edwards’ deflected effort 12 minutes after half-time, only for Leitner to equalise for the visitors with a well-taken strike on 71 minutes.

That was how the contest finished at Portman Road – the third time in the last four meetings these two arch-rivals have drawn 1-1 -but a result that does at least lift Ipswich off the foot of the table.

We had gone for a home win based on head to head records but the late equalizer by the canaries made our predictions innacurate.

Bristol v Blackburn

Our 1st Pick: 2

Result: 4-1

Bristol City moved into the Sky Bet Championship play-off zone by coming from behind to beat Blackburn 4-1 at Ashton Gate.

The visitors took a 13th-minute lead in bizarre circumstances as City allowed a low, in swinging Charlie Mulgrew corner to enter their net unaided, with goalkeeper Niki Maenpaa flat-footed and no one defending the near post.

But Lee Johnson’s men were level at half-time thanks to Josh Brownhill’s effort and they turned things round in the second half with further goals from Marley Watkins, Famara Diedhiou and Marlon Pack.

Blackburn had goalkeeper David Raya to thank for not falling behind early on. He parried a fierce Jack Hunt drive and did even better to get a hand to Andreas Weimann’s close-range shot from a Niclas Eliasson cross.

Brownhill curled a shot wide but Mulgrew’s goal had an effect on both teams and it was Blackburn who started to look more dangerous.

They almost went two up on 26 minutes when Kasey Palmer volleyed against the woodwork following indecision between City left-back Lloyd Kelly and Maenpaa.

Elliott Bennett sent a low shot wide following a fast break and Adam Armstrong had a shot blocked by Tomas Kalas as the home side started to surrender possession in dangerous areas.

However, the hosts were level on 38 minutes when Brownhill found the top corner with a sweet right-footed free-kick from a central position just outside the box, awarded after Ryan Nyambe fouled Matt Taylor.

Blackburn nearly regained the lead within a couple of minutes, Maenpaa saving well from Armstrong. City defender Adam Webster appeared to be fouled in the build-up and head coach Johnson was shown a yellow card by referee David Webb for his protests.

The hosts began the second half in the same fashion as the first and Raya had to produce another fine save to keep out a shot from Taylor, whose moment of inspiration then allowed Watkins to make it 2-1.

Taylor chested an Eliasson cross into the path of the Wales international, who had time and space to shoot past Raya from 10 yards.

Johnson made a double change on 66 minutes, introducing Diedhiou and Callum O’Dowda for Watkins and the excellent Taylor.

Blackburn boss Tony Mowbray had used three substitutes by the 72nd minute – but it was City who finished stronger.

Diedhiou netted the third goal with a low drive in the 73rd minute. Fed by Weimann on the break, City’s club record signing – making his first appearance of the season following a six-match ban – scored with the aid of a slight deflection.

Captain Pack rounded off a sparkling second-half display, heading home from eight yards with eight minutes left after a cross from the right had been flicked on.

H2h records were in favor of the rovers which explains our pick but it proved innacurate as Bristol played out of their skins and thoroughly deserved their win.

Alaves v Espanyol

Our 1st Pick:

Result: 2-1

We had backed Espanyol to carry the day in this la Liga encounter based on h2h records. Everything was going to plan as Baptistao opened the scoresheet for the visitors in the 42nd minute ensuring that they headed into the break on the lead.

Things took a turn for the worse in under two minutes just as the game approached the hour mark. Baston and Sobrino scored within 2 minutes of each other to stun the visitors and duly held on for a memorable victory.

Once again, backing the underdog was risky but we felt that current form and recent head to head records were enough to tip the scales but it proved to be an inaccurate.

Real Betis V Sevilla

Our 1st Pick: X

Result: 1-0

Veteran Real Betis midfielder Joaquin Sanchez came off the bench to score the only goal to give his side a 1-0 win over city rivals Sevilla on Sunday and end a 12-year wait for a home victory in the local derby.

Joaquin, 37, became the oldest scorer in a Seville top-flight derby when he rose to head home at the near post in the 79th minute, shortly after the visitors had had midfielder Roque Mesa sent off for two bookings.

Betis went into the derby under pressure after taking only a point from their first two games and made an intense start as Cristian Tello and Loren went close to scoring, while Sergio Canales had a goal ruled out for offside after the video assistant referee (VAR) was consulted.

Sevilla nearly scored through Franco Vazquez and Gabriel Mercado but handed their rivals an extra man advantage when Mesa was booked for fouling goalkeeper Pau Lopez, and Joaquin took full advantage to the delight of the 60,000 supporters inside the packed Benito Villamarin stadium.

We had gone for a draw based on the fact that it was the most common result in this particular derby but it proved inaccurate.

Monaco v Marseille

Our 1st Pick: 1

Result: 2-3

Marseille came from behind to win 3-2 at Monaco with a last-gasp goal from Valere Germain on Sunday, ending a dismal run against their main Ligue 1 rivals under Coach Rudi Garcia.

Kostas Mitroglou headed home from a pinpoint Dimitri Payet cross to give Marseille the lead on the stroke of half-time.

But Monaco replied with two quick-fire goals after the break as Youri Tielemans equalised and Colombia forward Radamel Falcao knocked in a loose ball from close range after the Marseille defence got into a tangle.

Substitute Florian Thauvin coolly turned a low cross to equalise before Germain headed in from a corner to win the game against his former club in the 89th minute.

Germain spent six seasons at Monaco before joining Marseille last year.

Marseille had not won any of their previous 11 matches against the trio of Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon or Monaco with three draws and eight defeats since Garcia took over in October 2016.

This explains why we backed the hosts to win but Marseille had other plans up their sleeves and it wasn’t to be.

 [maxbutton id=”11″]

Let us try and run through a few of the available markets when it comes to the Sportpesa Jengabet

  • Who will score

This market allows you to make your bet based on who you think is most likely to score in a given match. Each player has different odds ranking lowly from the most likely of goal scorers rising to the least likely of goal scorers. For example, Harry Kane has found the back of the net each and everytime he has ever come up against Fulham and thus by having such in depth information could land you a tasty cash reward.

  • Who will get carded

This particular market allows one to predict which particular player will end up in the referee’s book. Once again, in depth knowledge of individual players can give one a serious upper hand and enable him/her to make some serious cash under the sportpesa Jengabet platform. For example, Xhaka: The Arsenal midfielder somehow always ends up landing a yellow card especially during any London Derby matches. He averages 10 yellow cards over a 38-game season in which he starts just 20 or less and this makes for good value when looking to reap from Sportpesa Jengabet.

  • How many corners

A keen or football fan with an eye for detail more often than not gets this particular market right most of the time. We highly recommend that you don’t make use of this particular market if it involves teams that you really don’t make time to watch. A quick index showed us that Bournemouth, Southampton and Leicester games had the most corners in the EPL 2017/18 season. This can be narrowed down to the simple fact that these teams have blistering attacks but lacklustre defenses. Thus, it’s really easy for such teams to both earn as well as conceded corners.

  • Will both teams score?

This one is pretty simple as it’s the usual GG or NG market that exists in the general market as well. However, under the Sportpesa Jenga bet, combining a GG with an individual player to score could land you very mouth-watering odds. For example, if the game in question is Manchester Utd V Manchester City, going for a GG plus Kompany to score could land you serious odds.

With all these possible events to choose from all in one match, this is the stuff of dreams for forward thinking sports betting enthusiasts. In fact, for careful team analysts such as ourselves, in depth knowledge of teams can actually earn you more cash here!!

At multibet Kenya, we have something for everyone. Always remember to bet responsibly and enjoy.
